It was a weekend of milestones, movement and magic at parkruns across the motu. From celebrating Whangarei parkrun's 500th milestone, to our Ōtautahi Speed Freaks taking their parkrun tour to Scarborough parkrun for a stunning sunrise event, and over the west of the country at East End parkrun for different kind of sunrise.

A huge shoutout also to Speed Freak Jeananne achieving her 100th parkrun at Te Awa parkrun, Tāmaki Makaurau. Ka mau te wehi!

Ngā mihi nui for being such a great partner, parkrun. Speed Freaks has a charity partnership with parkrun NZ, because we have a shared kaupapa based around the importance and benefit of movement, connection, and volunteering.

This is why Speed Freaks will be celebrating our 5th Birthday at local parkruns like Hagley and Barry Curtis parkruns, on June 27th! Come and join us!💙🏃

The Speed Freaks in Tāmaki Makaurau will be at Barry Curtis parkrun en masse tomorrow as part of their parkrun tour of the many different parkruns in the city. We will also be celebrating one of our Speed Freaks, Marty's, 25th parkrun milestone. Come join us! We are a week early, but we may as well also wish hari huritau to Barry Curtis parkrun for their 13th birthday next weekend too!

The Speed Freaks are excited to be part of the very first Canterbury Winter Trail Series, and would like to thank race director Sam Manson - NZ Athlete for supporting us to do so!
