If you’re worried about your own - or a loved one’s - mental wellbeing, seeking support is important. And there are people ready to listen and help – any time of the day or night

Although we run events and workshops that support mental wellbeing, we don’t offer one-to-one services like counselling or clinical support but we want to make sure you know exactly where to go when you need help.

To find support please reach out to one of the services listed below:

Manu Ka Rere is for young people aged 13-24 years in Canterbury who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health and/or addiction issues.

To get support complete their online Referral Form and one of their staff will be in touch with you. Anyone can complete the form – young people can refer themselves, or it can be done by their whānau such as a parent/caregiver, or a professional such as GP. Please note that signed parental consent is required for those under 16.

Call 111 and ask for an ambulance, or go straight to the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital.

You can also visit the 24-Hour Surgery, 401 Madras Street (near Bealey Ave). Please note: there may be a cost for this service.

Take notice refers to the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness can be thought of as open and receptive attention to, and awareness of, what is occurring in the present moment. Practising mindfulness with others can deepen connection and enhance our collective sense of wellbeing.
