This is a vibrant school in Christchurch, with a roll of about 445 students from new entrants to year 8. Our school values (respect, aspire, believe, achieve) drive our students, staff, and school families to do our very best for each other. We have a very active Home & School Committee that strives to support the school to provide our children with opportunities and resour

ces that might otherwise be difficult to fund. Fundraising goal - support swim week
SwimSafe is a water education programme run by the Christchurch City Council where children develop essential water safety and survival skills. Every year, Mairehau Primary School students take part in 10 SwimSafe lessons over two weeks at Graham Condon Pool. For many children, these are the only swimming lessons they experience. There is a huge expense associated with this activity (lesson fees and bus costs) and every year the Home & School Committee aims to contribute $6000 to make these lessons affordable for our school families.
