Do you want to pursue business with greater everyday passion and purpose? Do you want to deepen your understanding of how the work of business relates to God's wider purposes in the world? Do you want your business to become more fruitful for Jesus?

In this two-day short course, led and facilitated by Nathan McLellan, you will explore God’s purpose for business and how it relates to the wider human vocation, the relationship of business to other institutions (like family and government), develop a redemptive strategy for your own business, and harness various tools and approaches to ensure your business is contributing to God’s work in the world.

'Making Sense of Making' is back again in Auckland this June! 🎨💭🖌️

For people of faith who love the arts, questions of purpose, success, and responsibility feel deeply important. This two-day course, led by Donald Goodhall and John Dennison, offers teaching, discussion, and reflection on how Christian faith shapes the arts.

It’s not just for practicing artists, but for everyone who wants to explore how the Christian faith and tradition renews and transforms the arts.

Following in the way of Jesus is a journey into freedom: the freedom of life with God, life from God, and life for God’s good purposes in the world. It’s only by following in this way that we can learn what freedom with God means in concrete, lived experience. So we thought we’d ask a few people who attended the 2026 Venn Summer Conference what they’ve been learning about the freedom of life with God.

Here's Wingyeung Szeto—read the full reflection in Common Ground Autumn, link in bio.

Another round of applications is open for the Residential Fellowship — and we'd love for you to consider it.

For six months, Fellows live and learn together in Auckland — wrestling with big questions, sharing meals, and growing in faith, friendship, and wisdom. It's shaped around the question: How do I live wisely in 21st-century Aotearoa, New Zealand?

If you're 20–30, hungry to grow in your faith, and want to lead and serve your community well, we'd love to hear from you. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, churches, and communities.

Each week, we’re invited to embrace the Sabbath, a whole day of resting and rejoicing in God. It’s a practice of freedom for life with God, with others, and with creation. But where do we start? How can we actually take up Sabbath rest together?

We’ve created a new resource, ‘Welcoming the Sabbath’, to do just this: to help households embrace the Sabbath. It centres on a simple liturgy—a shared form of prayer—to lay aside our burdens and welcome the Sabbath evening. The liturgy concludes with a shared meal—the start of our rejoicing as we enter God’s gift of rest. Beautiful and practical, this card resource includes six copies of ‘A Liturgy to Welcome the Sabbath’, along with a simpler version for use with young children. There are also cards explaining the liturgy, with practical suggestions about how best to use this resource.

Part of Venn’s ‘Keeping Sacred Time’ devotionals, ‘Welcoming the Sabbath’ is designed for use throughout the year as part of your household’s regular weekly rhythm.
