🚨 SIGNED: JACOB A. LOCKS IN FOR 13U, AFTER A LONG STANDOFF 🚨

Central City Baseball Club can confirm that Jacob A. has officially signed for the 13U squad for the 2026/27 season! ✍️⚾

But this one was not easy. 😅

While younger brother 2HB signed in record time, Jacob's negotiations dragged on well into the night. Sources say one clause nearly derailed the entire deal:

📈 A percentage of all future merchandise sales.

Insiders tell us the demand came after Jacob discovered what his 1-of-1 signed rookie card 🃏 sold for at auction. Word is, it was a lot. 💰👀

After lengthy talks, the club's lawyers, accountants and one very tired Club President finally reached an agreement. Jacob put pen to paper with a big smile. Terms have not been disclosed. 🤐

When asked whether the auction proceeds were being used to fund a brand-new soda dispenser in the home dugout 🥤, Club President Roy Antunovich declined to comment.

He was, however, seen measuring the dugout. 📏😂

Welcome to 13U, Jacob. Your rookie card is only going up in value. 📈💙

🚨 LAST CALL: Baseball in the Break registrations close TOMORROW (Wed 30 Sept) 🚨

12U is already full. The other grades are filling up faster than a dugout when the sausage sizzle opens 🌭

Four days of summer baseball in January is also the perfect excuse to get the kids out of the house over the holidays. We're not saying you'll miss them. We're just saying.

📅 14–17 January 2027
💵 $200 per player (jersey + cap included)
⚾ 12U · 14U · 16U · 19U (ages 17–20)
✅ 50% play guaranteed for every player
✅ Players must be registered with their club in GameDay and playing this season

12U families: it's full, but ABA will look at a 3rd team if there's enough demand. Get your name in and make some noise 📣

Don't be the parent refreshing the form at 11:59pm on Wednesday. (We've all been there.)

🚨 SIGNED: THE TWO HATTER BATTER IS BACK 🚨

Central City Baseball Club is delighted to confirm that Joshua "2HB" A., known around the league simply as The Two Hatter Batter, has officially signed with the club for the 2026/27 season! ✍️⚾

However, sources close to the deal say one BIG question is still on the table… 🤔

📋 Will 2HB step up to the 12U squad?
📋 Or take his big bat back to 10U for one more year of destruction?

Negotiations are ongoing. Both coaching staffs have been seen pacing the corridors. 👀

For those who need reminding, 20 December 2025 will go down in history. 🎄 With Christmas just days away, 2HB belted not one but TWO home runs 💥💥, becoming the world-wide all-time leader for 10U home runs hit within one week of Christmas. The record stands to this day. 🏆

When asked the secret to his incredible performances, 2HB leaned into the mic, gave a sly smile, and said just four words:

💬 "Hydration is the key." 😏💧

No further questions.

Welcome back, 2HB. Wherever you land, pitchers beware. 💙

🚨 SIGNED: ALISTAIR B. RETURNS FOR SEASON 2 WITH 10U 🚨

Central City Baseball Club can confirm that Alistair B. has put pen to paper for a second season with the 10U squad! ✍️⚾

Sources say negotiations were tense. 😬

Club officials entered the room with a standard contract. Alistair entered with a Sharpie, a Big League Chew, and a very serious stare. 👀

When talks briefly stalled, Alistair reportedly crossed his arms and delivered one line that sent the room silent:

💬 "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Insiders say this is no idle threat. Alistair comes from a proud baseball family, and his Dad is known around the diamond as "Banner". 💚💪 Some things just run in the family. 🧬

The club wisely agreed to all terms on the spot, including:
✅ An unlimited supply of Big League Chew
✅ A permanent green bat clause 💚
✅ No one is to make him angry. Ever.

Opposition pitchers have been advised to proceed with caution this season. When Alistair steps up to the plate, things can get incredible. 💥

Welcome back, Alistair. Smash it! 💙

🚨 SIGNED: TOP PROSPECT LACHLAN CALLED UP TO 10U 🚨

Central City Baseball Club is thrilled to announce the signing of one of its top prospects, Lachlan S., who has officially been called up to the 10U squad for the 2026/27 season! ✍️⚾

Rewind to before the 2025/26 season. In what insiders are now calling the steal of the off-season, Central City quietly claimed Lachlan off waivers for its T-Ball program. 👀

Nobody saw what was coming next.

By season's end, Lachlan had climbed all the way to the #1 T-Ball prospect on most major lists. 📈 Scouts were talking. Phones were ringing. The call-up was inevitable. 📞

After some very tough negotiations at the kitchen table, Lachlan has put pen to paper on his 10U contract. 💙

Sources close to the deal confirm his camp secured one key term:
✅ A release clause should the New York Mets come calling. 🍎⚾

Fair play. We'd sign off on that one too. 😄

Welcome to 10U, Lachlan. The future is bright at Central City. 🌟

🚨 BREAKING: CENTRAL CITY LANDS ITS FIRST SIGNING OF 2026/27 🚨

After weeks of intense negotiations, late-night phone calls and at least one juice box handed over, Central City Baseball Club is thrilled to confirm that Wyatt has put pen to paper for the 2026/27 season. ✍️⚾

Club officials knew this one couldn't wait. The 10U team is the heartbeat of Central City, and every heartbeat needs a strong pulse. So when the window opened, there was only one name at the top of the whiteboard.

Sources close to the deal say Wyatt's camp drove a hard bargain 😅:

✅ Guaranteed snacks after every game
✅ First pick of the good helmet
✅ Unlimited high-fives from the coaching staff

The club agreed to all terms immediately.

Wyatt returns to Central City with a big bat on his shoulder, an even bigger smile, and a throwing arm that's already sending a clear message to the rest of the 10U grade. 💪

Welcome back, Wyatt. The heartbeat is back in business. 💙

⚾ Central City is a club for coaches 💙

Hi to players & supporters,

We've always been a club for players. Today we're launching something that also makes Central City a home for coaches: online lesson bookings, the first of its kind in New Zealand baseball.

🧢 What it is
Our coaches now have their own space on the club website. They post the times they're available, and you book a one-on-one lesson in a few clicks.

✅ See every coach's open times in one weekly calendar
✅ Filter by coach and pick the time that suits you
✅ Your request goes straight to the coach, who confirms it by email
✅ Group sessions & clinics are available too, for training with friends at a lower cost

📅 Can't find a time that works?
No problem. Every coach's details are on the booking page, so get in touch with them directly. They can load up a training slot that suits you, and it will appear on the calendar ready to book. The same goes for a group session with your mates or teammates.

💎 Why we're doing it
Good coaching changes everything. We want to do everything we can to:
✅ Build confidence, on the field and off it
✅ Prevent injuries through proper technique and good habits
✅ Develop skills at every age and level
✅ Keep it inclusive and fun, because that's what keeps players in the game

📋 For coaches
If you're a coach and want to offer lessons through the club, get in touch. We want to back good coaches as much as we back our players.
