The day opened with the Indian National Anthem and a prayer, honouring the richness of Indian culture. ๐Ÿ™ Grandparents shared treasured stories passed down through generations, while children brought the Monkey and Crocodile tale to life through a lively performance. ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŠ

Stitching and embroidery sessions sparked the most beautiful moments. ๐Ÿชก Hearing grandparents say, "Main apne school time par aise stitching karti thi," while young hands eagerly learned alongside them, was truly special. Henna (mehndi) art by parents and grandparents added even more colour and joy to the day. ๐ŸŒฟ

Grandmothers and grandchildren danced together to "Daadi Amma Daadi Amma maan jao," and lively performances lit up the stage. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ Traditional games like Kho-Kho, Kanche (Marbles), and Stapoo (Hopscotch) brought laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition across all three generations. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿช€

In a world where screens often replace conversations and technology keeps us individually connected yet collectively apart ๐Ÿ“ฑ, this day reminded us of something powerful. When generations sit together, play together, and share stories face to face, something irreplaceable happens. Children discover who they come from. Grandparents feel seen and valued. Parents find themselves the bridge between two worlds. ๐ŸŒ‰

What we achieved goes beyond one event. We proved that our culture, our games, our stories, and our bonds are very much alive and worth passing on. In today's fast-moving world, slowing down to share a game of Kanche or listen to a folk tale is a quiet act of resistance and love. ๐Ÿ’›

The day wrapped up with delicious pizzas, snacks, and plenty of photos capturing memories that will last far longer than any screen time. ๐Ÿ•

A heartfelt thank you to all our grandparents, parents, grandchildren, teachers, volunteers, supporters, and community members. Together, we celebrated our heritage, shared stories and laughter, learned from one another, and created beautiful memories across generations. Your presence, energy, and support made Generations in Play a truly meaningful and joyful celebration of family, culture, and community.
