DISHA NZ celebrated International Day of Older Persons (IDOP) at our Balmoral Centre, proudly supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board

This yearโ€™s celebration brought seniors and children together for a special intergenerational experience. โœจ

A big thank you to Yoko from The ReCreators, who engaged everyone in a fun and creative paper-weaving activity.

It was wonderful to see DISHA seniors and children from Bharatiya Mandir Balvikas working together, sharing ideas, learning from each other and enjoying meaningful conversations. โค๏ธ

Moments like these remind us that every generation has something valuable to share.

๐ŸŒฟ A Special Day of Culture, Connection & Learning ๐ŸŒฟ

Our DISHA NZ Charitable Trust seniors had a truly exciting and memorable visit to the Marae! โค๏ธ

From experiencing the beautiful Pลwhiri and Whakanoa to listening to the fascinating Marae history and kลrero, every part of the visit gave our seniors an opportunity to learn, connect and experience Mฤori culture and traditions. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐ŸŒฟ

There were plenty of smiles, meaningful conversations, new experiences and wonderful memories made along the way. What a special day! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ“ธ

A heartfelt thank you to the Hoani Waititi Marae team for your warm welcome, hospitality and for sharing your culture and stories with us. ๐Ÿ™

And our sincere thanks to Rosetta from Whau Local Board for supporting this wonderful experience for our seniors. ๐ŸŒบ
