Roopa Aur Aap proudly participated in the workshop “From Sensationalism to Safety – Building Ethical and Prevention-Focused Reporting on Family Harm and Sexual Harm in Aotearoa New Zealand”, organised by SAMER+ Collective.

The session brought together community members and media professionals to discuss the importance of ethical, responsible, and trauma-informed reporting. We were honoured to hear from guest speakers Hina Nasir, Farrukh Gul Qaisrani, and Parminder Singh Papatoetoe, who shared valuable insights on raising awareness and encouraging positive community conversations.

Roopa Aur Aap (RAA) was honoured to be part of the Telangana Formation Day Celebrations 2026 hosted by the New Zealand Telangana Central Association (NZTCA).

The evening was a beautiful celebration of Telangana’s rich heritage, featuring vibrant cultural performances, community engagement, and recognition of outstanding contributions. It was a wonderful opportunity to witness people from diverse backgrounds coming together in the spirit of unity, culture, and shared values.

RAA is truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a memorable occasion that reflects the strength, unity, and diversity of our community. We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the NZTCA team and all those who contributed to making this celebration a remarkable success.

A heartfelt thank you to Bihar Jharkhand Association of New Zealand, Women’s Era NZ, and Muskaan Care Trust NZ for kindly inviting Roopa Aur Aap Charitable Trust (RAA) to be part of the Mother’s Day Celebration 2026.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, we also stood in support of Glow Red for Thal NZ and helped spread awareness for the Thalassemia community in New Zealand and around the world.

We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality, thoughtful arrangements, and the opportunity to be part of such a beautiful celebration honouring the incredible women in our community. It was truly a memorable and meaningful event filled with love, respect, and togetherness.
