If you haven't had the chance to experience the magic of the Puketāpapa Manu Aute Kite Day 2026, check out this snippet from an incredible day on our beautiful Pukewīwī / Puketāpapa / Mt Roskill maunga. 🪁✨

There's something special about seeing whānau and our community come together. This is exactly what we love about our hood, people connecting, creating memories, and celebrating together.

A huge ngā mihi to the Puketāpapa Local Board for bringing the Matariki celebrations to the top of our maunga on Sunday, 12 July 2026. It was a spectacular day filled with kite flying, games, kite-making workshops, activities for all ages!

It was also fantastic to see the free shuttle service making it easier for whānau to enjoy the day together.

A heartfelt thank you to the Tūpuna Maunga Authority for allowing this special celebration to take place on this treasured maunga.

What’s Good in the Hood #14 🔥

What a mean vibe at the Night Markets in May! 🙌🏽 Awesome to see our community coming together, enjoying the great food, culture, and seeing whānau out and about supporting one another. Huge mihi to the organisers and everyone working hard behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Shout out to the youth team, the 5 Stars eats team, our local families sharing and selling their amazing food, and the talented gospel band and artists who brought the atmosphere to life. Special mention also to National Youth Week team, a great opportunity to celebrate and uplift our young people and the positive impact they have in our communities.
So good seeing everyone connect, support local, and enjoy the night together. Ka mau te wehi! ❤️ Get ready for the next one at the end of June🙌🏽
