Need some music and movement on these cold winter evenings? We have two awesome Dance groups here at the Village Centre.

Street Swing are here in the Hall every Tuesday evening with West Coast Swing.

Lindy Hop Auckland are here in the Church every Thursday evening with Lindy Hop and Balboa.

Join the effort to enhance native biodiversity around Maungawhau/Mt Eden. We host the Trap Library here at the Village Centre for the Maungawhau Ecological Halo project. Pop into the Office Monday to Friday 9am to 12noon and we will show you how to set a rat trap. We will issue you a FREE trap and safety box if you live within the HALO area. Ideally call before your visit on 09 631 0678.

If trapping is not your thing, you can also help by planting native trees and removing weeds. We have information to help with that too.

We have the Mt Eden Chamber Music Festival here in early July 2026. Book your tickets now!

The Eden Arts Trust proudly presents four world-class concerts from Thursday 2 July to Sunday 5 July 2026 featuring some of New Zealand's foremost classical musicians.
CONCERT 1
THURSDAY 2 JULY 7pm
We launch this year's Festival with Schubert's beautiful cello quintet, performed by players from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, including the Festival's Artistic Director Simeon Broom. This piece is dedicated to Simeon's beloved violin teacher Mary O'Brien.
CONCERT 2
FRIDAY 3 JULY 7pm
Our Friday evening concert features three musicians from the Auckland Philharmonia (oboe, viola and piano) playing music by Alyssa Morris, Charles Loeffler and Janet Jennings.
CONCERT 3
SATURDAY 4 JULY 5pm
Concert 3 remembers the late pianist Katherine Austin whose colourful presence and inspirational playing were such an integral part of our Festival in its first 10 years. The programme has been specially selected by Katherine's family and includes works by Bach, Rachmaninov, Schumann, Dvorak and Prokofiev.
CONCERT 4
SUNDAY 5 JULY 3pm
Our final gala concert brings back three NZSO favourites - Simeon Broom, Julia Joyce and Andrew Joyce - in an uplifting programme of Ravel, Beethoven and Dohnanyi.

We recently hosted piano laureate and Yamaha Young Artist Eva Gevorgyan for a Piano Masterclass with Haydn Staples Piano Scholars from the University of Auckland School of Creative Arts. You can see from these photos the concentration and skill demonstrated by Eva and all 3 young musicians Hana Tani, Dylan Tang and Matthew Seinafo!
