What a great day for the ACCC Cup Badminton Doubles Tournament today. The competition started at 9:30 and finished at 4:00 pm. The chairman of ACCC, David Tai, and the event organiser, Bo Li, presented the trophy and badge to the winners.

The Men’s Doubles Winners
1. Champion: Ashok Kesana / Akshay K*mar
2. Runner up: Aki Chone / John
3. The third place: Simon Gou / Jackson Zhang

The Women’s Doubles Winners
1. Champion: Hannah Njo / Rechelle Go
2. Runner up: Michelle Lee / Flavia Chan
3. The third place: Karen Ng / Isadora Ho

The Mixed Doubles Winners
1. Champion: Isadora Ho / Aki Chong
2. Runner up: Jie Tang / Jerry Wei

After the trophy presentation, the players enjoyed the refreshment, coffee, and tea prepared by the ACCC catering team. Thank Connie and her team for making it happen.

Lucky 66: Auckland Chinese Community Centre Celebrates 66th Anniversary

At 6:00 pm on 6 June 2006, the Auckland Chinese Community Centre (ACCC) held its 66th anniversary celebration dinner in East Auckland.

The date — the 6th day of the 6th month of ’06 — carried special meaning, as the Centre marked its 66th anniversary. ACCC is likely the largest government‑registered, non‑profit Chinese community organization in Auckland,New Zealand, with the highest number of paid‑up members and its enduring members.

The celebration was attended by many distinguished guests. Each year, the Centre also takes this opportunity to present academic excellence awards and certificates to the children of its members, encouraging the younger generation to work hard and give back to the community. The ACCC Mahjong tournament on 31 May 2026 was a fantastic success, buzzing with energy and friendly competition. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, players of all skill levels came together to enjoy the strategy and tradition of the game.
