Step inside one of Auckland's most remarkable heritage buildings and discover the story of its rescue, restoration, and enduring significance from Allan Matson, heritage advocate and President of Civic Trust Auckland, and Paul Baragwanath, Director of Kāhui St David's centre for music. You will hear how the community came together to save this Category A historic heritage place, and learn about its rich history and distinctive architecture.

The afternoon will also feature the newly restored 1904 Croft pipe organ, giving visitors the chance to experience its magnificent sound in the space for which it was built. You will also be able to view the latest works by Peata Larkin, created as part of the Art of Remembrance project, which have played a vital role in the campaign to save and renew Kāhui St David's.

Everyone is welcome; please invite your friends and family. Come and celebrate the history, music, art, and community that have given this important historic building a new future.

Come out to enjoy what's on offer at the Grafton Markets this Friday.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Sunday's Community Clean-Up. It truly felt like our most successful clean-up yet.

Together we:
🧹 Filled two 2 cubic metre garden waste bins
🗑️ Collected a large bag of litter
🌿 Cleared autumn leaves and organic matter from gutters to help reduce the risk of flooding in our low-lying streets
🚶 Cleaned up the walkway to Parkfield Terrace
✂️ Pruned the Park Avenue side of the hedge on the corner of Park Avenue and Carlton Gore Road

The timing couldn't have been better, with the heavy overnight rain washing the gutters clean.

A special thank you to Sarah Trotman, who collected an incredible amount of litter along Park Avenue, and to the kind neighbour who generously offered the use of their garden waste bin when we needed an extra one.

Finally, thank you to the Waitematā Local Board and Auckland Council for their ongoing support of our Community Clean-Up programme, and to everyone who gave up time on their Sunday to help keep Grafton looking its best.

We look forward to seeing you at the next clean-up!

Whether you're a regular volunteer or joining us for the first time, we'd love to see you there. Every pair of hands makes a difference as we work together to keep our streets, drains, and public spaces clean and tidy.

It's a great way to meet neighbours, get some fresh air, and make a positive impact in our community.

Bring gloves if you have them, and we'll take care of the rest.
