A big thank you to everyone who gave up two hours of their Sunday to join our latest Grafton Community Clean-Up.

This was a first for us — we didn’t even fill one 2 cubic metre garden waste bin! And, importantly, that wasn’t because we didn’t have enough people to do the work. It was because there was simply less to tidy up this time around, which is a pretty great result.

We focused on some of our known problem areas, including:
- The intersection of Carlton Gore Road, Park Road and Claremont Street
- The drains on Boyle Crescent
- The drains on Seafield View Road

It’s encouraging to see the difference our regular clean-ups are making around Grafton. Keeping on top of these areas means less build-up, cleaner streets and a reduced risk of blocked drains and flooding.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and helped make a difference. We look forward to seeing you at our next Community Clean-Up.

A big thank you to the Waitematā Local Board and Auckland Council for their continued support of our Community Clean-Ups.

Step inside one of Auckland's most remarkable heritage buildings and discover the story of its rescue, restoration, and enduring significance from Allan Matson, heritage advocate and President of Civic Trust Auckland, and Paul Baragwanath, Director of Kāhui St David's centre for music. You will hear how the community came together to save this Category A historic heritage place, and learn about its rich history and distinctive architecture.

The afternoon will also feature the newly restored 1904 Croft pipe organ, giving visitors the chance to experience its magnificent sound in the space for which it was built. You will also be able to view the latest works by Peata Larkin, created as part of the Art of Remembrance project, which have played a vital role in the campaign to save and renew Kāhui St David's.

Everyone is welcome; please invite your friends and family. Come and celebrate the history, music, art, and community that have given this important historic building a new future.

Free admission, koha appreciated (proceeds to Kāhui St David’s)
