Early Bird Run Crew NZ

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦
𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗥𝗨𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Crew members meet at a set time & place and their community and then run an approximate 5K loop.

In a nutshell, you meet, say hello, then everyone fires off together, but people run at their own pace. It’s totally up to you whether or not you run as part of a small group or prefer to go solo! You don’t need to run every day... the idea is that whenever you do decide to run, there will be enough other crew members out there doing the same.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲
Crews are, and always will be, 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘. They are more social than competitive, so don’t be put off if you’re new to running. That said, if you’re a keen runner looking to improve, there’s nothing to stop you finding like-minded folks to help push each other on.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! Want to start an Early Bird Run Crew in your community? It’s completely free, so if you’re looking for motivation to get up and out, please get in touch at [email protected]. We’ll set up with:
1. An affiliated and branded Facebook club page
2. Your own club page on our website with all the necessary info such as a map of your route, with links to your Facebook group, Google maps and a club Strava page if you have one. Clubs are searchable by location, meaning people can find the nearest club to them
3. Top tips and marketing assistance for getting the word out in your area, including branded posters

Our vision is to grow Early Bird Run Crew across New Zealand, to help as many people as possible set up run crews in their area and feel the benefits of running together.

Merchandise is coming soon with all the profits from this going to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. All money raised from sponsorship will also go to them.

Beautiful sunny evening on the cards for this week’s Little Loop (Thursday 8 October) now that we’re back doing Thursday evenings. Come be part of the growing community!

⏰ When to arrive: from 5.50pm to drop your bag in the bag drop, warm up, catch up with others and enjoy some tunes.
🏃‍♀️ Run starts 6.15pm
🚶 Walkers from 6pm

LITTLE LOOP – SUNDAY 💙💚❤️
🏉🏉 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗛𝗦! 🏉🏉

Shaping up to be a great Sunday at EBRC’s FREE 5km community run/walk around the coastal walkway in Hobsonville, followed by chats, prizes and good vibes at Little Creatures.

Wahs fans worried about missing the game, have no fear! We’ll be done about 30 minutes before kick-off, with the game on the screen in the Kittyhawk bar afterwards, which is where we’re doing the draw. A few of us will no doubt be staying to watch the match, so we’re encouraging Wahs fans to wear your tops and get your Loop in beforehand – earn that match-day b**r!

INFO if staying for the game: as well as the usual $10 Catalina L***rs for participants, there’s a game-day special available from an hour before kick-off until full time – any pizza + fried chicken + bowl of fries + jug of b**r for $79.
