Feed the Need NZ We aim to make a difference by feeding kiwi kids, one action at a time. We've been boosting little minds and tummies since 2012!

In our first 5 years we provided over 235,000 hot and healthy lunches to children in low-decile Auckland schools. We are now piloting a new Pātaka Programme - setting up food pantries in schools to provide emergency food assistance to children and their families.

Here is our Chairperson, Monique, personally delivering some of the weekend packs kindly packed and funded by KPMG to one of our amazing schools, and catching up with Vincent, their Associate Principal!

We love getting out into our communities and seeing firsthand where our packs are making a difference.

We are so excited to introduce you to our re-launched Pātaka Kai!

This initiative was first established by our previous board in 2019, and we are so happy to be bringing this much-needed kaupapa back to our communities (despite it looking a little different now).

A huge thank you to our incredible community connections, donors and supporters, and to our amazing builder, Ethan MacKay, for helping make this mahi possible.

Keep an eye out as we continue to grow this kaupapa and get more of them up!

We were so incredibly excited to introduce our Holiday Kai Boxes before the last school holidays!

Packed with food to help support families through the break, these boxes were distributed through our schools to families who needed a little extra support.

The feedback has been so positive, and while we’re grateful to know the boxes have made a difference, some of the stories we’ve heard have also been a reminder of just how tough things are for some families right now.

600 Packs Packed!

Our biggest packing event yet!

Two sessions, with 30+ people at each, and an incredible 600 food packs packed and ready to go to the whānau and schools we support, including lunch packs and weekend packs.

A huge thank you to the team at KPMG for hosting and funding this event. Your time, energy and generosity will make a real difference.

Getting out into the community and facilitating packing events is one of the things we love most.

A huge thank you to the team at Integrated Control Technology (ICT) for having us. They showed us just how efficient packing can be, smashing out the fastest 200 lunch packs we've ever packed!

Thank you for your enthusiasm, teamwork, and generosity. Every packing event helps us get food into local schools and to tamariki who need our support.
