"Thank you MASW https://www.facebook.com/MASW.Malta for organising such a wonderful event, bringing together organisations and professionals committed to the social work profession! We are grateful for the opportunity to share about the essential role of social work in the society and the importance of continuing to speak up for the rights of the most vulnerable, human dignity and about promoting social justice.

Because social work is not only about supporting and helping people, but also about standing up for their rights and making their voices heard."

🖊 The Migrants Commission participated in the Anti-Human Trafficking Annual Conference, organised by the Human Rights Directorate, bringing together organisations and stakeholders to discuss emerging trends, challenges and future approaches to combating human trafficking.

Our participation reflects the continued commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of people affected by and at risk of exploitation in Malta.

We firmly believe that effective prevention and protection require more than policies and legal frameworks. They demand a coordinated common action, strong partnerships and, specifically, a people-centred approach built on trust, human relationships and respect for every individual's dignity.

🖊 The Migrants Commission, in collaboration with the French Embassy, MELA, the Archbishop's Delegate for Culture, Spark15 and SkateUni, invites you to a closing event, for Martin Bertrand's exhibition, Refuge and Reconstruction.

🕔 The finissage will be held on Saturday the 24th of October, at 5:00 p.m.

Martin together with the organisers will be available for any questions you may have about his journalistic work and this exhibition.

We would be delighted if you could join us for this event.

🌐 Please visit Refuge and Reconstruction Exhibition - MELA for further information.

Refuge and Reconstruction is a photographic exhibition by Martin Bertrand exploring what happens after arrival: the waiting, learning, relationships and everyday processes through which people seeking protection begin to rebuild their lives in Malta.

🖊 The Migrants Commission participated in an information session organized by UNHCR Malta and delivered by Identità to learn more about the procedures for obtaining residence permits in Malta for persons with international protection, third-country nationals, and their family members.
