Register by sending an email to [email protected], for a one-off opportunity to see a real geothermal system working on site. The site visit will include a visit to the ground-source heat pump system and control room.
The visit will be led by Mr. Mario Scerri.
Site: Baxter International Factory, Marsa
Date: Wednesday 1st April 2026 (Duration: approx. 1.5 hrs max.)
Time: 4.00pm, Reception. (Get your own Personal Protective Equipment (if available, if not, they will provide)

Mr. Mario Scerri, graduated with a first degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Malta, followed by a Masters at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. Following his earlier experience as Facility Manager at The Point, he has been at the Facility Manager at Baxter International for over fourteen years, bringing in his expertise in Engineering to a practical level.
In 2025, Baxter was awarded the ‘Gold Award for Business Leader in Energy and Water Sustainability’ through the Malta Business Awards.
