This conversation between artist Enar de Dios Rodríguez and curator Sofia Grigoriadou offers an insight into their practices. Moving between images and dialogue, this exchange will delve into the ideas, interests, and processes that shape their work, as well as the broader contexts in which they unfold. The conversation will remain open and participatory: images brought in by the audience will become points of departure for further discussion, inviting questions, associations, and different perspectives. Rather than a fixed presentation, the talk hopes to produce a shared space for looking and thinking together.
Enar de Dios Rodríguez is a visual artist from Spain based in Vienna, Austria, whose practice explores the intersections of economic, sociopolitical, historical and environmental forces. Working across video, photography and installation, she investigates the ways territories are produced, controlled and transformed, bringing attention to the infrastructures and technologies that shape contemporary life. In 2024, together with Andrea Steves, she co-authored the book Let It Return, published by PrivatePrint.
Sofia Grigoriadou (b. 1983) is an artist, anthropologist, curator and educator living in Athens and Skopje. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from Panteion University in Athens, a BA and an MFA from the Athens School of Fine Arts, and a BA from the School of Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a co-founder of TWIXTlab, an Athens-based laboratory operating between contemporary art, social sciences and everyday life, and Akoo-o, an interdisciplinary group focusing on walking, sound and technological mediation. In 2024 and 2025, she curated the film programme at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje. In 2024, she was part of the curatorial team at MoCA Skopje and co-editor of The Large Glass. She is an Adjunct Lecturer in Anthropology, Visual Culture and Museology at the Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries at the University of Thessaly, Greece.
