На 27 јануари на Правниот факултет „Јустинијан Први“ во Скопје се одржа промоција и дискусија на публикацијата „Brothers In Harm: The Links Between The Far Right In The Western Balkans And The European Union“.
Истражувањето го направи Евротинк во соработка со CAMR – Centrum pre analýzy, monitoring a reporting од Словачка, а поддржано од Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

Публикацијата покажува дека Западен Балкан демонстрира дека екстремизмот не е само локален проблем; тој е транснационален, адаптивен и длабоко културен. Додека крајната десница бара легитимитет, признание и влијание надвор од националните граници, прогресивните актери можат да го балансираат тоа со инвестирање во долгорочна издржливост, ангажирање на младите и прекугранична солидарност. Разбирањето и дејствувањето против оваа мрежна, прекултурна закана е суштинско за регионалната стабилност и безбедност, и за заштита на демократските норми во Југоисточна Европа.

🔴 Breaking news: Redefining journalism with young Macedonian voices

In the newest podcast episode ALDA presents three young Macedonian journalists – Kristina Ivanovska, Enis Shaqiri and Antonija Janevska.

During their study visit to 🇮🇹 Vicenza, Italy, the three journalists experienced European media practices firsthand and gained deeper insights into citizen journalism and user‑generated content.

“The key is finding balance. Professional journalists should not view citizens as competitors but as partners. If we can build systems where user‑generated content is verified and integrated, it can enrich journalism and make it more relevant“, they say.

This podcast is part of the project, implemented by Eurothink - Centre for European Strategies in association with ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy // ALDA Balkans // ALDA Projects and BIRC. The initiative aims to strengthen journalistic standards in North Macedonia, combat disinformation, and support the country’s EU integration journey.

💡 Strengthening Journalism Standards for EU Integration

🔎 As North Macedonia advances toward EU membership, the media sector continues to face external pressures: ranging from political interference and economic constraints to strategic lawsuits, that threaten editorial independence and encourage self-censorship. Strengthening journalism standards remains vital to ensuring the media’s democratic role in informing citizens, holding power accountable, and enabling public participation.

⭐️ From 15–17 December 2025, Skopje hosted the Networking Conference and Capacity-Building Event, uniting journalists, educators, civil society, and EU experts to address pressing challenges in media education and capacity.

🧩 Organized under the project by Eurothink - Centre for European Strategies, in partnership with ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy and BIRC, and supported by the European Union and the Central European Initiative - CEI, the three-day event fostered knowledge exchange, skills development, and sustainable partnerships between North Macedonia and EU institutions.
