Ní mór gach cuid d’Éirinn bheith faoi bhláth má táimid le bheith rathúil mar thír. Lena chinntiú go leanfaidh geilleagair agus pobail thuaithe d’fhorbairt a dhéanamh agus a n-acmhainn a bhaint amach, ní mór acmhainneacht a fhorbairt chun dul i ngleic le dúshláin intíre agus idirnáisiúnta a thiocfaidh chun cinn sna blianta atá amach romhainn.

Tá áiteanna agus spásanna tábhachtach le haghaidh idirghníomhaíochtaí sóisialta idir gach ball den phobal. Níl sna hionaid phobail, leabharlanna agus clubanna spóirt ach roinnt samplaí de spásanna pobail ilchuspóireacha atá lonnaithe ar fud na tuaithe in Éirinn a fheidhmíonn mar mhol do phobail áitiúla bualadh le chéile agus páirt a ghlacadh i ngníomhaíochtaí comhroinnte. BOCOD (Boosting Continuity and Digitalisation of Rural Region Businesses) aims to strengthen rural SMEs across Ireland (led by MTU, Cork), Finland, and Iceland by boosting digital skills and improving business continuity.

Munster Technological University, with the support of GRD, are seeking rural SME owners to share insights on their digitalisation journey (tools they’ve adopted, barriers they’ve faced), and how they’re currently approaching or planning for business succession.

This would take the form of a one-to-one online interview, for no more than an hour and would be completely anonymous.

Lá Sláinte na mBan 2026 ar siúl Dé Céadaoin 9 Meán Fómhair, 10am–2pm i Halla Naomh Fursey, Áth Cinn. Is ócáid saor in aisce, neamhfhoirmiúil agus fáilteach é seo do mhná inár bpobal.

Solas FRC Women’s Health Day 2026, taking place on Wednesday 9th September, 10am–2pm in St. Fursey’s Hall, Headford. This is a free, informal and welcoming event for women in our community. While there will be opportunities for health checks and to find out about health and wellbeing supports, the day is also about connection, community and taking a little time for yourself – meeting other women, having a cuppa, a chat and a laugh. No booking is required.

Comhghairdeas, Blá. Is i gceantair thuaithe is mó atá acmhainní nádúrtha agus is cosantóirí tábhachtacha iad ar ár gcaipiteal oidhreachta, cultúir agus nádúrtha.

Congratulations to Blátnaid Gallagher on her selection as one of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) 's 100 Women Heroes for International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026. Selected from more than 600 nominations across 131 countries, Blátnaid’s dedication, leadership and achievements will be showcased across United Nations media channels and prominent events to advocate for gender equality in rural sectors. A special awards ceremony will take place as part of the World Food Forum in Rome in October.

Blátnaid is an exceptional role model for women and young girls, in Ireland and now worldwide.
