Last week, participants from the BRIDGE Project enjoyed a fun kayak taster session with Sanctuary Paddlers. It was a great opportunity to try something new, get out on the water and enjoy a fun and active experience together. Everyone had a brilliant time! September is an opportunity to learn more about the 5 gynaecological cancers:

🌸 Ovarian cancer
🌸 Cervical cancer
🌸 Vulval cancer
🌸 Vaginal cancer

The HSE’s new flipbook provides helpful information about risk factors, signs and symptoms, and the importance of knowing what is normal for you. 💗

What a fantastic day with on Saturday, 15th August at Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre! 🎉 A wonderful celebration filled with sports, fun activities, delicious food, face painting and, most importantly, community connection. 🏀🏸🎨

A huge well done to GFIC Ireland for organising such a vibrant and welcoming event that brings families together and strengthens community connections in Galway. 💙Galway City Partnership SICAP was delighted to support this wonderful day!

Staff were thrilled to attend "Beyond the Labels: Cross Cultural Forum" event yesterday in the University of Galway to mark Ukrainian Independence Day.

Our CEO, Linda Sice Brogan, participated in a panel discussion and assisted in raising the Ukrainian flag outside Áras na Mac Léinn.

The event brought people together through insightful “community dialogue circles,” a wonderful array of delicious Ukrainian food, and a moving performance by the Harmony Ukrainian Choir.

The forum was hosted by Ukrainian group Women for Integration and Wellbeing, in partnership with the University of Galway and Galway City Partnership.

A great day out for our young people from the Ballinfoile Youth Activity Programme at Eile Mental Outdoor Activity Park for an exciting game of Outdoor Laser Tag! 🔫🌲

Everyone had a brilliant time getting active, working together as a team and enjoying the outdoors. It was great to see so much energy, laughter and teamwork throughout the day.

A huge thank you to all the amazing staff at Eile Mental Activity Park for making us feel so welcome and for providing such a fun and enjoyable experience for our young people! 👏

🎨🌿 Our young people from the Ballinfoile Youth Activity Programme have brought their creativity to life through a vibrant new mural celebrating the beauty of living in diverse, connected communities — both human and non-human! 🐝🌱🦋

As part of the project, participants took part in biodiversity workshops and a nature walk with Catríona Carlin from the School of Natural Sciences, University of Galway, while also exploring thought-provoking philosophical questions with the Department of Philosophy, University of Galway. Artist Ronan Conor then guided the group in using spray paint and developing their ideas into the final mural.

This wonderful project was delivered in partnership with the Department of Philosophy, University of Galway, and was generously sponsored by Galway City Council.

A special thank you to Fergal Cushen (Galway City Council), Adam Stoneman (Creative Ireland, Galway City Council), Nora Ward (University of Galway) and Ronan Conor (Artist) for their support and contribution.
