Inspiring the next generation of women in STEM. 💜

Speaking at the evening launch of the Galway Science & Technology Festival at PorterShed, Festival Chair Kenny Deery highlighted the importance of encouraging girls to explore STEM and discover the opportunities here in the west of Ireland.

✨ A wonderful evening with Network Galway! ✨

Last night, we gathered at the University of Galway for an inspiring evening of connection, reflection and thought-provoking conversation.

We were delighted to welcome Brenda Cormican, who delivered a fantastic workshop, The Conscious Choice: Question the Script, Choose Your Next Step with Conviction! Brenda encouraged us to challenge the assumptions and expectations that shape our decisions, take a step back and consider what we truly want.

A huge thank you to Brenda for sharing her insights and leaving us with plenty to reflect on. 💫

We also enjoyed our Member Spotlights, celebrating the University of Galway and the fantastic benefits and opportunities available to our members. Thank you to our speakers and representatives for sharing their insights with us.

A special mention to our President, Sharon, for her continued leadership and support in bringing our community together. ❤️

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout, with members coming together to connect, share ideas and support one another in a fantastic setting at the University of Galway.

Water: From Molecule to Ocean. 🌊

Thank you to the Galway Science & Technology Festival team for inviting Network Ireland Galway to the launch of the 2026 festival at PorterShed.

It was a pleasure to join the celebrations and hear from the evening’s speakers, including meteorologist .

Running from 8–20 November, this year’s festival explores water through science, discovery and innovation across Galway. Congratulations to the organisers and everyone involved in bringing the programme together. 💜
