Creative Communities Workshops:

We are delighted to bring more creative workshops to this year’s Pride Week. Check Out our Badge Making, Lino Print and Writing Workshops.

This project was funded by Galway City Council through its Creative Communities Fund, an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme.

Wear Your Art:

Join us for a creative, hands-on workshop where we will design and create our own custom badges. This fun and expressive session encourages individuality and artistic exploration, allowing us to turn our ideas, identities, dreams and wishes into wearable art. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed. Looking forward to badging with you

Q***r Nomadic Shorts

Q***r Nomadic Shorts brings together films exploring what it means to find belonging when identity, tradition and expectations collide. Featuring stories from Irish Traveller, Roma, Mongol and other nomadic communities, the programme reflects on q***r lives shaped by family, cultural heritage and resilience. Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures, named after the Irish Traveller/Cant word for “wanderer”, celebrates the ways nomadic communities preserve their stories, honour their traditions and continue to shape their own futures

Hosted by Oein de Bhardúin, this special screening is a collaboration between Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures, GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival and Galway Pride, with support from Ardán.

"""Gender is a story, not just a word... This complexity is not chaos, it just is"" - Alok Vaid-menon.

For its third edition, Bród Gaillimhe would like to present 'We're All Gendered', a facilitated panel discussion analysing how gender as a social construct impacts and shows up in our lives, and why this binary system is harming all of us. Featuring panelists who identify as trans, non-binary and gender non confirming, we invite you to come along with curiosity to explore through the lives of those who live it, what it means to exist outside of the gender binary."

These three ledgendary women Nuala Ward, Marese Walsh and Bernadette Divilly paved the way for Galway's Q***r Community. These women are the reason we can be out and proud today! We were honoured to have them join our meitheal day where this years symbol 'The Phoenix' was painted on the walls of Club Áras na nGael by Yvette Picque and the community.

Q***r Nomadic Shorts brings together a powerful selection of short films celebrating LGBTQIA+ lives across nomadic communities. Misleór, meaning "wanderer" in Cant, the language of Irish Travellers, celebrates stories on the move and across cultures. Featuring films about q***r Irish Travellers, Roma, Mongolian and Bedouin Palestinian communities, this programme explores identity, belonging and resilience through rarely seen perspectives. Presented by Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures, GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival and Galway Pride, with support from Ardán.
