Presenting their research studies at the Sir Peter Freyer Surgical Symposium were Dr Thomas Butler, Dr Eoin Kerin & Dr Luis Bouz Mkabaan with Professor Michael Kerin, NBCRI Research Director , Professor of Surgery, Ollscoil na Gaillimhe | University of Galway & President of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).

Their research studies are funded by the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.💕

Charlotte's Vision was set up in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute in memory of Charlotte Sweeney, who sadly passed away in December 2021 just before her 42nd birthday.

Since then, they have been raising funds specifically for metastatic breast cancer via us at NBCRI.✨

Mizen2Malin, What a Challenge!🤩🚴

Some charity challenges are hard to put into words. This one was 600km+ of cycling, over 3 days, from Mizen Head to Malin Head taken on by a team of 12 from our corporate charity partners, Boston Scientific.

Behind those 600km were months of planning, training, fundraising, logistics and determination. A huge well done to John Mannion, Piotr Prokop, Jim Treacy, Colm Niland, Tsvetelin Dimitrov, Kevin Coen, Pat O’Brien, Peter Strange, Colin Duane, Eugene McSharry, Enrico Lionello and Damien Nolan for taking on this incredible challenge in support of NBCRI.

Together, they have raised an amazing €30,000+ to help drive vital breast cancer research forward. 🩷

Big thanks and shout out to everyone who got behind the team, from the support crew and sponsors who helped make the challenge happen, to everyone who donated and supported their fundraising along the way.👏

We are very grateful to have Boston Scientific in our corner and to see their team go the extra mile for breast cancer research.
