Knowmad Institut

Knowmad Institut A Think & Do Tank, a Voice for Human Dignity in Public and Private Policies. We build bridges between civil society, academia, states, and the private sector.

The European Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Sciences - Knowmad Institut gemeinnützige UG (haftungsbeschränkt) - is an independent Think & Do tank based in Brandenburg, a voice for Human Dignity in public and private policies. We are recognized as a social interest company for the promotion of science and research. Our vision is to contribute to the promotion and fulfi

llment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG`s), and thus to contribute to the construction of a sustainable, fair and multipolar world. We analyze reliable information in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach that facilitates knowledge management, to educate and disseminate bold and innovative proposals that promote common solutions to global problems. The construction of a solid evidence base allows us to better support decision-makers, opinion leaders and lobby/advocacy groups to explore and promote innovative initiatives based on human dignity, facts, and science. The Knowmad Institut was recognized as an international non-governmental organization with observer status at the World Intellectual Property Organization, is also part of the UN Global Compact alliance, Deutsches Global Compact Netzwerk, Rome Consensus 2.0 partnership, and a member of the Vienna NGO Committee on Narcotic Drugs and the New York NGO Committee on Drugs. Our Programs

The Knowmad Institut was founded by Daniela Kreher and Martin Díaz in 2018. We have an international team of 20 multidisciplinary experts, an expert committee and an ethics committee. With an active presence in Europe, America, Africa and Asia. Technological Sovereignty & Human Dignity

We are aware that the self-determination and freedoms of the peoples of the world will be increasingly linked to technological sovereignty and the preservation of the ethnosphere. The Fourth Industrial Revolution challenges us to address in a multidisciplinary manner the development of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Robotization and other disruptive technologies to be compatible with Human Dignity and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG´s). We promote the democratization and decentralization of technologies, open-source software, open data, web neutrality and the adoption of new technologies for the progress and preservation of humanity’s tangible and intangible resources. Drug Policies & Human Rights

We advocate at local, regional and international levels to contribute to reform of the current international drug control model by one based on social, health and human rights aspects. This reform should focus on overcoming the negative consequences of current policies, funding public domain research on controlled substances, preventing the abuse of all types of substances and regulating illegalized markets. We manage and promote multidisciplinary studies and research on fungi, plants, and psychoactive substances for public welfare, social justice, and integral health. Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies in Human Rights and Science

We’ve developed the Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Science: a platform for evidence-based research and knowledge with an inclusive and equitable approach that promotes knowledge primarily dealing with minorities and vulnerable populations in peripheral countries. Whether the research is in Human Rights, Sustainable Development, Ethnobotany, New Technologies, Special Populations, Drug Policy, the JOURNAL will give voice to researchers, academic institutions and other think tanks, in order to empower ideas and actions that will influence policy and decision-makers. Our Services

We strengthen and complement the promotion and protection of human rights and dignity in civil initiatives, public policies and private projects, under scientific rigor and multidisciplinary vision. We are currently developing the following lines of work:

Our approach combines sustainable development, human dignity and innovation with the specialized knowledge of our international team of Knowmads. Design, monitoring and assessment

Our evaluation and advisory practices include the experience and knowledge of multidisciplinary experts in Europe and the Americas, strategically contributing to the development and growth of organizations through diagnostics, recommendations, reporting, monitoring and project implementation. In global drug policy, the debate is no longer just about what works.

It is about how we know what we claim to know.

Our latest paper examines a growing tension in multilateral governance:
the gap between empirical limits and structural conclusions in high-visibility policy reports.

Not to dismiss critique.
But to ask a harder question:

👉 When does inference exceed its own evidential ground?

In complex systems, credibility is not only political.
It is methodological.

This paper explores why epistemic responsibility is not a constraint on advocacy, but a condition for its long-term legitimacy.

🌎 The spirit of collaboration and sincere dialogue, with a strong desire to strengthen multilateralism in drug policy, is the same spirit that 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁 perceived in each exchange with the various delegations and in the reception of its 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝟲. The work of the 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁 is framed within the common effort for a multilateral drug policy, based on evidence-based research and guided by the promotion of human dignity.
