A celebration of art and community! 🎭🎨

Last week members of our Community Families Groups took part in the colourful Pram People event hosted by the Ark, in collaboration with Polyglot theatre group. 🎭

Throughout this interactive performance, children and families walked and listened to thoughts on parenting, making this an inclusive and powerful experience. Artists and performance also make the event quite entertaining and interactive.

ELI was delighted to attend this special performance! Thank you to the Ark and the Polyglot group for all their work on this wonderful event! 😄✨

On September 24th, ELI's Community Families National Senior Coordinator, Marie Boyne, spoke alongside a panel on Prevention and Early Intervention in Practice. 👏

The conference focused on the importance of interagency collaboration in breaking the cycle of inequality for children and young people through prevention, early intervention and family support.

ELI was delighted to be part of such an impactful day! 😊

ELI Community Families Groups were delighted to take part in four Pram People workshops, arranged by The Ark and the visiting theatre group, Polyglot. 🎭

These workshops are in preparation for the Pram People performance as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2026. Our families are looking forward to attending the performances next week! 😄

ELI's Maths Tuition Support returns this October, offering free maths grinds to Dublin's inner-city and docklands students who will be sitting their Junior Cycle or Leaving Cert in June 2027.

On Thursday, September 17th ELI's Early Literacy & STEM Coordinator, Cathy Steenson, presented at the Annual Literacy Numeracy, and Digital Literacy Forum! 👏

This year's forum had a special focus on the ways to address anxiety around mathematics in children and young people. During her presentation, Cathy showcased how ELI's Early Numeracy Programme is delivered within local services, and the way in which it is embedded in the local community.

ELI's Early Numeracy Programme is one example for how ELI continues to support the educational achievements and journeys of families, children, and young people across Dublin's Inner City. 📖💕

The annual event, now in its 20th year, is a celebration of the arts, culture and creativity and is free of charge to attend. Most events start from around 4pm and continue through into the early evening.
