Thank You from the Wrexham Miners Project

The Wrexham Miners Project would like to extend our sincere thanks to Shropshire Reds for organising and supporting this fantastic event.

A huge thank you also goes to our guest speakers, Mark Crossley and Mickey Thomas, for giving their time and helping make the day such a special occasion. Your stories, memories, and support are greatly appreciated.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, purchased tickets, donated, and helped promote the event. Your generosity and kindness make a real difference and help us continue our work supporting mining communities and preserving our heritage.

Events like this show the strength of our football and local communities coming together for a great cause. Thank you to everyone involved in making the day a success.

With heartfelt appreciation,

A huge THANK YOU to Wrexham University and Jonathan Evans for helping us secure our amazing 72” Clevertouch screen — a fantastic piece of technology that will make a huge difference to our education, heritage, and immersive storytelling projects at The Wrexham Miners Project.

This incredible support will help us bring local mining history and community stories to life in new and interactive ways for visitors, schools, volunteers, and future generations.

We would also like to say a special thank you to Teri Birch and Ian Rowley for your continued support across numerous projects. Your encouragement, belief, and commitment to our vision truly means so much to us all.

Together, we are preserving history, building community, and creating something very special for Wrexham’s future.

From everyone at The Wrexham Miners Project — thank you! ❤️

Our Patron Humphrey Ker announcing the work on the Superintendent’s House is about to begin. Thanks to all our supporters for helping us get this far.........but this is the beginning. We still need to raise more money to complete the job.........and this is before the restoration of the Projects buildings themselves.

Special thanks to Griffiths Tool Hire for the use of the digger.

No historic buildings were damaged in this operation.
