6th Wrexham Scout Group

Go on, Matt!

All those nights away paying off… and Andrew still treats you like one of the kids. 😂

This week, Tryfan ESU and 6th Wrexham Scout Group scout section Team Lead Matt was presented with his Silver Dragon Award! 🏆

The award celebrates nights spent camping and having adventures, but it's also about something bigger: inspiring Scouts, Explorers and fellow volunteers to get out there and do more.

Because nights away aren't just about sleeping in a tent. They're about building confidence, learning new skills, making memories and discovering what we're capable of.

Matt's challenge to everyone? Get out, plan that camp and inspire someone else to do the same! 🔥

Who's ready to add a few more nights under canvas? ⛺

And yes Andrew is really patting Matt on the head 😂

This week, 6th Wrexham Squirrels learnt how to put up a tent and toast marshmallows. Basically, all the important skills for a camping trip! 🏕️

🔥 The marshmallows had three stages of cooking: not ready, perfect… and CARBONISED BEYOND RECOGNITION! 😂

Skills for life? Absolutely. MasterChef? We’ll see!

We’re just THREE followers away from 500!

If you’ve not followed us yet, maybe this will convince you…

Here’s Andrew after camp, enjoying a family-sized Soreen like it’s a Mars bar. 😂

The reality of being a Scout leader. Spend the weekend on camp, then inhale an entire Soreen on the way home.

Go on, give us a follow and help us hit 500!

This week, 6th Wrexham Cubs got to grips with their knots before putting their skills to the test in a relay race!

The challenge? Tie a reef knot, clove hitch and figure-of-eight knot as quickly as possible. No pressure! 😂

Fast fingers, fierce competition and some seriously knotty business!

Think your Cub could give it a go? 👀

🏔️🇨🇭 From Wrexham to Switzerland, Scouting without borders! 🇨🇭🏕️

Andrew and Colleen soaking up the atmosphere at the incredible Kandersteg International Scout Centre, a place where Scouts from all over the world come together to make memories, build friendships and experience adventures they’ll never forget! 🌍⚜️

Scouting is about so much more than what happens on a weekly meeting night. It opens doors to new places, new cultures and opportunities that can last a lifetime. 💜

At 6th Wrexham Scout Group, we’re proud to be part of a movement that gives young people the chance to explore the world, challenge themselves and discover what they’re capable of!

🌍 Our question for you: If you could take our young people anywhere in the world for a Scouting adventure, where would you choose? Drop your dream destination in the comments! 👇

This week, 6th Wrexham Scouts took on a series of hilarious challenges using only some of their arms and legs!

From hopping through an egg and spoon race 🥄 to tackling a doughnut on a string without using their hands, things got messy! 🤣

The doughnut video is definitely our favourite!
