🎶 On the afternoon of Remembrance Sunday, Wells Cathedral Choir will give a devotional performance of Gabriel Fauré’s beautiful and moving Requiem.

Framed by prayers and reflection, this special service offers an opportunity to remember those who have died in war and conflict, and to pray for peace. The service concludes with the Cathedral’s traditional poppy drop.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection which will be taken in aid of The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and Wells Cathedral.

Please note, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service will be carrying out a planned training exercise at Wells Cathedral next Saturday on 7 November, from 8.30am to 12pm.

You may see emergency vehicles, firefighters, equipment and simulated emergency activity as part of the exercise.

Please do not be alarmed. This is not a real emergency.

This exercise forms part of our ongoing work with emergency services to help ensure the safety and protection of our Cathedral, visitors, volunteers, staff and community.
