🏑 Host Family under Homes for Ukraine Scheme Needed in Wells

A Ukrainian mother and her 17-year-old daughter are looking for a kind and supportive host family in Wells under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

The mother is employed locally, and her daughter attends school in Wells. They are calm, respectful, friendly, and committed to maintaining a clean and tidy home environment. The daughter speaks English well, and the mother is actively studying English.

They are looking for a safe and welcoming place to stay while continuing to build their lives in the UK.

πŸ“ŒIf you think you may be able to help, or would like more information, please contact Wells Welcome Hub.

❗️Even if you can't host, sharing this post could help them find the right family.

🎭✨ What a fantastic evening at the theatre! Wells Welcome Hub organised a wonderful visit for displaced people to see the brilliant production of "Guys and Dolls" by Wells Little Theatre. The audience was truly impressed by the energy of the LIVE band, the hilarious performances, colourful 1950s New York atmosphere, and the unforgettable "Luck Be a Lady Tonight", a tune many of us have been humming all morning today! πŸŽΆπŸ‘

It was especially heartwarming to see displaced people not only enjoying the show as visitors, but also taking part as volunteers. Opportunities like this are so important for displaced people, helping them feel welcomed, valued, included, and connected to the local community. They create a real sense of belonging and integration, while bringing people together through kindness, culture, and shared experiences ❀️🀝

Thank you to everyone who made this joyful evening possible! 🌟

The session covered pensions in the UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§, including State Pension, National Insurance contributions, workplace pensions, and pension rights for those who return to Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ in the future.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, with people actively asking questions, taking notes, and supporting one another throughout the discussion πŸ’¬πŸ“βœ¨

A huge thank you to CulturaLinks Cic for delivering such a valuable and engaging session πŸ™ and to everyone who came along and made the event such a success.
