Before applying, we strongly recommend checking your UKVI account and making sure all your information is up to date, including:

You can update your information independently by logging into your UKVI account, or you can contact the Wells Welcome Hub for help. 🤝💻

⏰ Reminder: our free Self-Employment Made Simple workshop is happening in a few days!

Even if self-employment does not seem relevant to you right now, this knowledge may become useful sooner than you expect.

In the UK, some employers, companies, and clients offer jobs or contracts on a self-employed basis. That is why it is helpful to understand in advance:

📝 how to register as self-employed;
💷 what taxes you may need to pay;
📊 how to keep records of your income and expenses;
📅 what reports to submit and which deadlines to follow;
💡 how to decide whether self-employment is right for you;
💰 how to avoid common mistakes and unnecessary costs.

Knowledge about self-employment can be useful for everyone - whether you are planning to work for yourself now or simply exploring different employment options for the future.

During the session, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions to an experienced accountant.
