A wonderful evening celebrating veganism, community and connection! 💚

Last night, our founders Katherine and Teresa had the pleasure of attending the Vegan Womens Club Official first anniversary celebration at Gauthier Soho, which also fell on World Vegan Day! 🌱

It was a fantastic evening, bringing together so many wonderful people who share a passion for animals, compassion and creating a kinder world.

We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Heather Mills, Carol Royle, Juliet Gellatley from Viva!, Tom Ward, Peter Egan and Suzanne from Greenwood Farmed Animal Sanctuary, among many other amazing people!

A special mention to Victoria Featherstone Pearce and Karin Ridgers, who founded and run the Vegan Women's Club, for bringing everyone together and creating such a lovely community. Congratulations on your first anniversary!

Thank you for having us. It was a brilliant evening, and we're so pleased to have been part of the celebrations.

Here's to many more years of connection, collaboration and making a difference for animals! 💚🐷🌱

We are desperately looking for any local fencing specialists who maybe able to help us with re-fitting the fencing around our pigs spaces. All the materials are here and ready to go, we just need many more hands! If this is something you could help us with, or if you could recommend anyone, it would be so appreciated!!

Please drop us a DM or email us on [email protected] for more info 💚 thank-you. We are based in Yarley, Somerset.

Our lovely Chancer is 26 years old and has recently been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and laminitis. 💔

Laminitis can make walking incredibly painful, and we want to do everything we can to keep Chancer comfortable and give him the care he deserves.

We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of:

🐴 Rubber stable mats to provide a softer, more comfortable surface under his feet.

🩺 A £250 X-ray of his feet to help assess his condition.

💊 Ongoing medication, comfortable bedding and veterinary care.

These additional costs quickly add up, so we’re hoping to create a dedicated fund for Chancer to help cover his needs alongside the care of our other sanctuary residents.

Every donation, no matter how small, would be amazing, our donation page can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/02a5a4c8-ddc3-484a-a3e2-0c2af3e3e119?utm_medium=CA&utm_source=CL

Thank you so much for supporting Chancer and our sanctuary. 💚

We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for our volunteer day on Saturday!

We welcomed the Bristol Plant Based Society, University of Bristol Vegan Vets and a group of lovely local ladies who helped us move shelters and clear a much-needed space at the front of the sanctuary. 🐷🐴🐑

Also special thank you to Pennys for generously donating a 12-yard skip free of charge, making it possible to clear a huge pile of accumulated rubbish and clear some much needed space.

As a small, volunteer-run sanctuary, we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who gives up their time to help us. It really does make a world of difference to us and our animal residents! 💚

We still have some leftover wood that may be useful for bonfire night, plus metal scraps available for collection. If you’re interested, please drop us a message! ♻️

Thank you all for your amazing support! 🥰
