🛠️ Help Restore a Piece of Glastonbury’s Industrial Heritage! 🪟
We need your support to save the beautiful cast iron windows of the historic Bailys Buildings—the last remnants of the iconic Morland's Tannery site in Glastonbury.

Built in the late 19th century, these buildings were once home to a bustling glove and rug factory. Their cast iron windows are not just architectural features—they are rare survivors of our industrial past, offering both beauty and historical value. Most buildings like these have lost their original windows, making this restoration even more significant.
These windows:
✔️ Represent a nearly vanished form of Victorian industrial design
✔️ Provided fire protection and ventilation in dangerous factory conditions
✔️ Give the buildings their unique character and identity
Sadly, time, vandalism, and fire have taken their toll. We're now working to repair, retain, and where necessary, recreate these windows—using conservation methods that preserve their historic integrity while making the building usable once again for community and creative spaces through the Beckery Island Regeneration Trust.
🙏 Every donation helps bring this vision closer to life. Help us protect Glastonbury’s industrial soul—brick by brick, window by window.
