She embarked on her professional journey in the catering industry, where she rose to manage five restaurants in London. Following a move to Wells, she managed a butcher's shop
and worked for Oxfam, showcasing her commitment to both food and charitable work. Returning to the hospitality sector, she founded the Queen Street Deli and Truly Scrumptious Cakes, underscoring her passion for providing quality food and services. In 2005, Tanys charted a new course by training as a Beauty Therapist, achieving the accolade of Student of the Year in 2006. Her versatility shone through as she played a pivotal role in her family’s cheese business, excelling in PR and Marketing. She even created a record-breaking cheese sculpture for the Bath & West event and appeared on television programmes, further demonstrating her creative flair. Tanys is also an Ashtanga Yoga teacher, reflecting her dedication to health and well-being. As a painter, she specialises in large-scale, bold designs and was commissioned to paint a swan sculpture in Wells, highlighting her artistic talents. Her charitable work is significant, with support for organisations like Heads Up, which aids individuals with mental health needs, and Whizz Kids, which empowers young wheelchair users. Her greatest pride is being a mother to four boys, where she continues to support their aspirations and provide for them. Overall, Tanys’s remarkable journey is a testament to her versatility, dedication, and desire to make a positive impact on her community and beyond.
