Big Wanderers love, to Ibstock brick.PLC , for the kind donation of a £50 Amazon voucher, to be raffled, at our pre-Christmas doo 😎

Remember, to win it,you've got to be in it (Steele's social club, Pallion, this Saturday 😁)

Every penny, raised via the raffle and £5 entrance fee, will be donated to Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen and this money, will be used to feed and cloth our fellow Mackems, who are less fortunate, than the vast majority of us.

So if you're at a loose end on Saturday, come and join us,for an amazing evening of non-stop entertainment and the company of fantastic, friendly, like-minded people 😁

Good luck to Wearside Wanderers Scooter Endurance Racing Team, tomorrow at Teesside 8 hour Scooter endurance race at Teesside Motorsports Park 😁

UPDATE: The team kept their scooter shiny side up and completed the 8hrs endurance race, without the riders, breaking any bones (which is the main thing 😁)

When the final results were calculated, the team finished 9th overall (out of 26 ) and received a trophy for third in class.

As an extra, surprise, bonus, the team also received an award for 'best presented scooter ' at the event, which in reality, is an award for Rob Miller, who spends countless hours, preparing the race scooter, so the other daft lads,can go out a terrify themselves, for hours on end.

Thanks to everyone who supports our team and we look forward to seeing you at the track, next year 😁

First charity Cheque presentation to Washington football club today for £1000 from profits from this year's rally.thanks again to all who attended.

Hi,it's Pud here, now that the dust has settled on our 45th anniversary rally at the weekend, I feel I must firstly thank everyone that attended and helped to make it the great success that it turned out to be, and i hope yous all had a fantastic time.
After months of worrying about would it be the great event it has been in the past at the old venue, it turned out there was no need for concern at all as the new venue at The Washington hub turned out to be a massive success, even the weather played its part🌞🌞🌞
Most people don't realise that there is much that goes on behind the scenes just to organise such an event . Also the time and effort that needs to be put in over the 2 days that it is actually on, so i feel a few thankyous are in order to our unsung heroes who give their time on the day, because of them and all of yous who come through the gate and put your money on the table or in my hand🙂between us we have managed to raise the phenomenal amount of over £5000 ,which after necessary expenses all profit will go to local charities.
We raise this much money not only from gate sales but also club regalia, raffles and donations from the traders on the day which all goes into the pot.
Firstly a big thankyou to the gate staff, Christopher Thornton who to be fair didn't have any choice as we hid his wheelchair and crutches😆😅 which meant he couldn't move for the 2 days, secondly Valerie Reavley who flirted with various roles(including checking the loos) over the weekend😉 Mandy Kerr that sold the t shirts (and also checked
the loos😯),I mean I did offer that roll myself but the girls insisted to leave it to them.
Also thanks to Keith,Mag,Talby,Kev,Mark and Bill who all stepped in when required.Extra shout out for Mag for the fantastic tee shirt design and Rob for supplying the trophies.
Nextly the rally Djs and bands for keeping everyone entertained with their great tunes and as for Alec and George's rendition of the Lambton worm and rawhide THAT will now go down in the wanderers folklaw history.Did anyone actually video that please?🤔
Massive thanks to Mark from scooter coop for the you tube video coverage which will put WWSC well and truly on the map.
Lastly but by no means least The Washington football hub for allowing us to hold our rally over the weekend,without it the rally may not have gone ahead.
The feed back we've had from social media, face to face ,phone calls and messages has been absolutely unbelievable, next year is provisionally booked for 10th -12th July hope to see yous all back again then.
Don't forget our pre Xmas do at The steels club is on the 15th November.
Once again a massive thankyou to EVERYONE involved.Sorry for the late response but it has taken me nearly 3 days to write this😅😅 If I've omitted to mention anyone please forgive me.
