Women In Esports

Women In Esports A not-for-profit organisation, created to engage and encourage women in the esports space. It hopes to work alongside them to promote diversity together.

The Women in Esports initiative aims to create a welcoming community which encourages more women (including trans and cis women) and femme identifying/femme presenting non-binary players to take part in esports tournaments at any level. Through this initiative, British Esports wants to help raise awareness and improve inclusivity in esports similarly to other organisations such as Women in Games,

AnyKey, FemaleLegends and more. British Esports will be running numerous activities throughout the Women in Esports initiative, such as a selection of social media campaigns, interviews across the website, Twitch channel, YouTube and more. Women in Esports is led Alice Leaman (Head of Operations at British Esports), Billie Purdie (Women in Esports Manager), and Bryony-Hope Green (Content Manager at British Esports). Due its success in 2020, Women in Esports transitioned into an initiative, which led to the formation of the Women in Esports Committee. This is currently Chaired by Morgan Ashurst (Head of Media at ESI), with Milly Preston (Freelance Marketing Consultant) in the Vice-Chair position.
