44 years ago today, the mighty 3 PARA along with many men and women from ALL three ARMED services were called to ARMS. The time has flown by, but the memories are always with me. I was fortunate enough in those days to SERVE with some very fine and courageous soldiers, and I have always remembered those that did not return. RIP THE FALLEN 🙏

I laid my wreath today at my local Cenotaph in Stockton-On-Tees, and also gave the Cenotaph a good cleanup.🫡

I’ll be having a few Guinnesses tonight, and for those that know, you know where. 🍺🍺🍺

As already posted. Two of our branch members, Alex Campbell and Paul Harris have Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Today I received photographs from Alex and Paul showing they have submitted Mount Kilimanjaro.

Thanks to all those that have donated to the three charities, and for supporting these two extremely talented young men on their trip to the African subcontinent.

We hope you like their photos.

Stay safe all and thank you.🙏🫡

Please see the link to donate and also view the charities they’re raising funds for.

Stay safe all. 🙏🫡

Hi All

Just a timely reminder that it is the Children’s Remembrance Service at the Moline Cross, better known as the Norton Cricket Club, tomorrow morning Saturday the 8th of November 2025.

The Children’s Remembrance Service invites all the scout groups, youth uniform services, Veteran’s, Veteran Organisations and the people/children that live within the Norton area to attend this free event.

The Parade of children and veterans form up on the right hand side of the main cricket field by the changing rooms, at approximately 10:15 hours.

This is a great opportunity for the children of the Local area, to carry out a physical act of remembrance, by going around a square and placing a handmade poppy or a cross as a mark of respect to the fallen, giving them a memory that will last a lifetime.

The area is now set out, and a massive thanks to DAVE, all the ground staff, Tony Riordan, some of our branch members and the MEN SHED for another display item, a World War I TANK🫡

Hi all

I just thought I’d add some large poppies to what our great knitters have done in the area of NORTON duckpond.

I’d like to take this opportunity to remind people that this Saturday at Norton Cricket Club there IS a children’s remembrance service starting at 10:30 hours and would like people to be there between 10:00/10:15. All the children from around the area are more than welcome to attend, it will give them the opportunity to make a physical act of remembrance, by placing a poppy or across around the centre of the cricket field.

I hope you like the enhancement with the large poppies. 🙏🫡
