Support for Ryan Savage Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma at the age of 3 in october of 2009 and given

Ryan Savage was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma in October of 2009 at the age of 3 and given less than 5% chance of surviving till christmas of that year. Ryan was initially diagnosed in South Africa where he under went chemotherapy and surgery to remove tumours, and then moved to the UK, where he relapsed in 2010. This little man then received further treatment which included chemotherapy, radiotherapy and stem cell transplant as well as surgery which saw him loosing ribs as the cancerous tumours had wrapped around his little bones. During Ryan's own battle with cancer he has helped others fighting this terrible illness through fundraising events and awareness campaigns both in South Africa and the UK and continues to do so through his love of wrestling. Ryan is currently N.E.D ( no evidence of disease) and is in long term after care visiting his oncologist twice a year
Ryan is a very happy go lucky boy with a friendly personality, always wanting to help others. All money that is raised via our events go towards helping families with children living with cancer

Exciting times ahead for the boy as he starts his work placement at the local hospital thru college (as if he didn't get sick of spending most of his younger years in hospitals now he will be working his way up thru the ranks at one lol), go and do what you do the Ryan Savage way, share your smile, positivity and all round awesome nature with those around you especially the patients you will be spending time with because I know if anyone is gonna boost spirits it will be you just being you. Nana, grandfather and your uncle Wayne would be so very proud of the young man you have become and continue to be well done ryry have an awesome day

So my son has decided that he has had enough of his stunning long hair and wants to cut it, it's half way down his back, ponytail length is 16 inches, about 40 cm.
Now instead of the hair going to waste, we've discussed donating his hair to a children's cancer charity who make wigs for child cancer patients (still looking for relevant charity)
As most of you know Ryan has spent most of his life from the age of 3 on the children's cancer ward, both here in the UK as well as south africa, as he himself has battled cancer, we've decided to do a sponsored hair cut with all money raised to be split between the children's cancer ward at the RVI as well as neuroblastoma UK, a charity who deal specifically with research related to neuroblastoma, the form of cancer he has, we will be setting up a go fund me page as soon as we decide on when he is gonna chop his hair, for those that would like to support Ryan's fundraising efforts, and his need in breaking my heart for cutting off his hair, jokes aside as sad as it makes me it's for a good cause, so I support him 110% in his choice.
Anyone who can point us in the direction of a charity who can help with his hair, please drop us a comment with details as this would be greatly appreciated

And today, my baby boy has finished his high school/secondary school career, tomorrow is prom/matric farewell, for some this is a standard milestone in their child's growing up journey, for us it's a privilege we thought we would never see considering back in 2009 he was given less than 54 days to live, yet here we are, I couldn't be more proud of his achievements in his life this far taking after his big sister well done Mr Ryan Savage for all you have achieved and have yet to achieve you make us proud every day
