🏅🎉 Little Explorers Sports Day is just around the corner! 🎉🏅

Get those trainers ready, pull on your shorts, and join us for some fun and laughter! 🤸‍♀️☀️

Our Little Explorers will be busy enjoying:

🍦 Ice Cream Cone Sponge Painting
A colourful and creative activity where little artists can explore colours, express themselves, and strengthen those important fine motor skills.

🌈 Spaghetti Rainbow Messy Play
A vibrant sensory experience full of squishy, colourful fun, helping children develop colour recognition and fine motor skills through hands-on play.

🚗🧽 Car Wash Tuff Tray
Time to get scrubbing! This exciting activity encourages sensory exploration, imaginative play, and fine motor development while having lots of bubbly fun.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Sports Day Challenges
From races to games, our sports day activities will help children build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and resilience—all while having an amazing time and celebrating the joy of movement!

We can't wait to see our Little Explorers learning, playing, and making wonderful memories together! 🌟💙

Next week at Little Explorers, we’re celebrating all the amazing dads and father figures with a week full of Father’s Day fun! 💙👣

Here’s what our little learners will be getting up to:-

👞 Following in My Daddy’s Shoes Card
Our children will use paint and printing techniques to create a special footprint Father’s Day card. A lovely activity to encourage creativity, fine motor skills and conversations about family relationships.

❤️ I Love You to Pieces Heart
Using cutting, tearing and sticking skills, the children will create a beautiful heart collage. This activity helps develop fine motor control, creativity and understanding of love and caring relationships.

🌾 Red Rice Heart Tuff Tray Play
A fun sensory activity where children can explore textures, colours and heart shapes using red rice. Perfect for developing fine motor skills, creativity and early maths skills through shape and pattern play.

We can’t wait to celebrate all the wonderful dads next week! 💙

This week, we’re proud to shine a light on the incredible feedback we’ve received from our volunteers and the positive impact volunteering has had on their lives. 💙

People choose to volunteer for many different reasons — to give back to their community, meet new people, build confidence, learn new skills, or simply make a difference. Whatever their motivation, every volunteer brings something valuable, and their stories remind us just how powerful kindness and community spirit can be.

We were lucky with the weather once again today as we Walked & Talked with our volunteers, so we can let them know how much we appreciate the time, dedication, and support they give through volunteering.

We took a stroll around the beautiful Ropner Park, where we got to see the gorgeous baby swans, ducks and geese. The morning was rounded off perfectly with a cuppa and cake kindly provided by the Friends of Ropner Park Café.

A lovely way to thank our brilliant volunteers for everything they do. 💙😊
