🎉 Little Explorers are back with a bang next week! 🎉

And this week, we’ll be celebrating the colourful festival of Diwali 🌈

We’ve got lots of fun, messy and creative activities planned for our little explorers!

🎆 Firework Painting
Let’s get creative! Children can experiment with different tools and techniques, exploring colour, shape and pattern through creative mark making and self-expression.

🌸 Rangoli Messy Play
We’ll be exploring shapes, symmetry and repeating patterns, while learning about rangoli – a beautiful traditional art form created as part of Diwali celebrations.

🍚 Diwali Rice Play
A colourful sensory activity where little hands can scoop, pour and sprinkle, helping to develop hand-eye coordination and those all-important pincer grip skills.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to explore, create, get messy and have fun together!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back! 🥰

AI-generated content, cloned voices, deepfake videos and fake screenshots can make it increasingly difficult for children and young people to know what they can trust online.

The latest Wake Up Wednesday guide offers practical advice to help parents, carers and educators support children to think critically about what they see and hear online.

Our Little Explorers sessions are a wonderful way for children and their parents/carers to build confidence, develop new skills and have fun together, while helping children get ready for that exciting next step into nursery or school.

Through play, activities and time spent with other children, little ones can develop their independence, learn to share and take turns, try new things and grow in confidence in a friendly and welcoming environment.

And it’s not just the children who benefit! Our sessions also give parents and carers the opportunity to meet other families, chat, share experiences and feel supported.

Our friendly Activity Lead and volunteers are always there to listen, encourage and offer support, whether that’s answering a question, offering a bit of reassurance or simply having a friendly chat.

Because sometimes it’s the little things that can make a big difference – helping families feel more confident, connected and ready for whatever comes next.

It was lovely to be part of such a fantastic community event yesterday! From picking up a crochet hook to create poppies, to helping put the display together, it was wonderful to see everyone coming together for such a meaningful cause - people sharing their time, skills and creativity to work together on something truly important.

A big thank you to Wellington Square and Stockton on Tees Community Wellbeing Champions for inviting us to get involved. We were proud to be part of it! 🌺👏
