Lovely evening last night with people who help those less fortunate than us x

I always enjoy the once a month visits in Chelmsford and we had the lovely Lizzie our vet
Kerry and Ben volunteering ❤️

John from street food always gives us a taster of his gorgeous home cooked meals but we had some late comers turn up and the food had all gone so we all gave our dinners and cake to them. Sleeping bag and blankets too.

They were very grateful and we at least no they had a hot meal for the night 🤗

We are back on the 25th November in Chelmsford ‼️

What a night 😞

Wet windy and blooming cold 🥶

People still came to get their pets food.

It always amazes me how they survive out in this 🤷‍♀️

But for one couple they have a bit of respite until Tuesday in travel lodge with their beautiful little dog MASIE 🤗

I told them they had to meet us at the van tonight when I spoke to them the other day and just as asked they called at 7.10pm to tell me they were coming.

I told them to stay where they were in this weather. We could meet another day. They have until Tuesday to relax and stay warm.

They were hungry and asked if we had any hot food but we didn’t, even though they had shelter they had no food 🍱

No cooking facilities/ no money. So shelter is great but when you’re hungry what do you do. I told them the kitchen was open at short street and put the phone down. But wasn’t expecting them to go in this weather.

As I left I couldn’t go home thinking of them hungry all night so went to Tesco and bought a bag of snacks and fruit with cereal and milk 🥛 few sandwiches and some 🍪 cookies, bottle of lemonade.

But when I tried to ring I got no answer. I went into travel lodge reception to drop off the food and ask them to pass it on.

As I was leaving they called me back. Bless their hearts they had tried to get to the soup kitchen as they were hungry but it was closed 😢

They were soaking wet 💦 but little MASIE was all wrapped up and warm, she seemed unfazed x

They were really grateful for the food and I told them to stay indoors and call me if they needed anything else.

I do hope and pray 🙏 no one is left out in this tonight.

I’m so happy at least these guys are indoors until Tuesday 👊🏻👊🏻

Although Paul couldn’t attend I proudly accompanied Yasmin and we had a wonderful evening. Food was amazing and met so many lovely people. Sponsors for our table were toomey

I couldn’t be more proud and i am still buzzing at 23.48pm x

So many familiar faces in the room and everyone there was of course a deserving finalist ❤️

Thank you so much to all who dominated and recognised the 5 years of dedicated work put in by both of them.

Since being on the street themselves, meeting Charlie Boys Angels - Registered Charity 1194524 to getting housed 🏠

A year later they started to help us and still do 👏👏SO SO PROUD 😊
