OLIVIA’S HUB

Some legacies change lives.

Olivia’s Hub has been created in memory of Olivia, a young woman who found hope and stability through supported housing but tragically lost her life after the support she needed was no longer available. Her story is now inspiring something powerful: a safe, welcoming space where people can access support, connection and guidance when they need it most.

Together, we can help build a future where fewer people fall through the gaps.

Every donation, fundraiser and conversation helps bring Olivia’s Hub closer to reality.

If you’d like to support the campaign, visit our website and help us create a lasting legacy of hope.

The event highlighted how an Essex wide business can involve itself both professionally and voluntarily making a huge difference. SECE Mind have committed this fund to our Olivas Legacy campaign (add link) supporting those with mental health stay safe in supported housing.

A huge thanks you goes to the De Vere Care team from the SECE Mind board, staff, volunteers, residents and clients.

We’re excited to bring Tend VR innovative Virtual Reality Mindfulness-Based Intervention (VR-MBI) to SECE Mind.

The technology allows you to work on your wellbeing at your own pace, in a quiet and focused way, which can feel especially supportive if you feel anxious about opening up or sharing personal experiences with others.

For more information visit: https://www.secemind.org.uk/tend-vr

Hello, we are Tend. Here’s why we exist.

We are living through a global mental health crisis: over 600 million people globally experience anxiety and depression every year, and current treatment options simply cannot deliver care at the scale needed.

In England alone, 9 million adults are living with a common mental health condition such as depression or anxiety. NHS Talking Therapies - the principal treatment pathway for depression and anxiety in England - referred 1.83 million adults in 2023/24. For the millions who fall through the gaps, the human cost is compounded: unemployment, isolation, and conditions that worsen without intervention.

Tend is here to change that. Our Virtual Reality (VR) Mindfulness Based programme has a strong evidence base and it has been designed with and for people with depression and anxiety who need support now, not after months on a waiting list.

Our mission is clear: to put quality mental health care in the hands of as many people as possible, helping individuals to recover and communities to flourish.

Last week, the SECE Mind team attended the Active Essex Foundation’s Power of Movement – Youth Mental Health Conference.

The event brought together organisations, practitioners and advocates who share a common goal: supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

It was inspiring to hear how movement, physical activity and community connection can play such an important role in helping young people build confidence, resilience and positive mental wellbeing.

At SECE Mind, we remain committed to Reducing stigma, Preventing crisis and Promoting positive mental health for future generations.
