Our Saturday morning drop-in offers a safe, welcoming space where you can speak to a member of our team, access advice and support, or simply find out what help is available - no appointment needed!

You can also access our confidential needle exchange if you require safe and clean equipment.

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or someone else, you’re welcome to drop in.

We have lots of wonderful activities planned in Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Oswestry and we cannot wait to share them with you!

Yesterday, we attended RAF Shawbury Family Fun Day 2026. This was a closed event, for serving personnel and their families.

We had plenty of games and activities to keep little ones entertained, whilst the adults could have a chat with us.

Our main topic of conversation, cocaethylene and what happens to our bodies when alcohol and co***ne combine.

We know it shouldn’t happen but sadly it does. It was our mission to share knowledge and empower our military community, we did just that 💪

Highlights of the day

- Veteran Lead Sinead got to sit in a spitfire cockpit and learn the basics of flying. Thankfully she won’t be flying anywhere soon ✈️

- Juno and Jupiter took the friendly fire on the chin after being hit with stray nerf bullets 🚁

- The snakes in the grass belonged to the the Animal Family Entertainers and weren’t rogue 🐍

- Spending time with our colleagues from Community Resource Shropshire Armed Forces Covenant Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service RAF Cosford Museum Royal British Legion

Early start today at RAF Shawbury for the Family Fun Day 2026!

Current traffic status...helicopters, in the sky, on the ground and in the car park 🤣

We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and embracing new ones 💜

This afternoon, we “officially” launched our provision at Coton Hill House, Shrewsbury.

Chatting with residents in the comfort of their kitchen and gardens; we talked about many of the issues they face, not just related to drugs and alcohol. The importance of social interaction, connections in the community and peers!

We were also joined by Jamie from The Hep C Trust, spreading awareness of BBV’s, diagnosis and treatment.

We also had a game of “Face Your Fears”, nerf bullets… E V E R Y W H E R E 😂

🌟 Alcoholics Anonymous – Weekly Meetings 🌟

Last month we launched our weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings at our Shrewsbury office.

These meetings offer a welcoming, supportive space for people who want to connect with others in recovery through AA fellowship and shared experience.

📅 Every Wednesday
🕚 11am – 1pm
📍 Shropshire Recovery Partnership, 1A Castle Gates, SY1 2AQ

The last Wednesday of each month is an Open Meeting, where anyone interested in learning more about AA is welcome to attend.

If you’re looking for support with your relationship with alcohol but don’t feel you need structured treatment, AA may be a helpful option.

Are you open to our service and thinking about giving a group a try? Our SMART Recovery groups are a welcoming space where you can learn new strategies, share experiences if you want to, and take another positive step in your recovery. 

Our SMART Groups run as follows: 
Shrewsbury: Mondays 11:30am - 1pm, Fridays 10:30am - 12pm 
Ludlow: Thursdays 11:15am - 1pm 
Bridgnorth: Fridays 10:30am - 12:15pm 
Oswestry: Mondays and Fridays 11am - 12:30pm 
Virtual: Thursdays 11:30am - 1pm

Breaking Free is an evidence-based digital behaviour change program that allows people to recognise and actively address the psychological and lifestyle issues that may be driving their alcohol and/or drug use.

💜 Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and other proven therapeutic approaches

💜 Breaking Free gives people a comprehensive toolkit of resources, positive coping strategies and proven behaviour change techniques to support their long-term substance use recovery.

💜 Breaking Free is suitable for anyone whose life is being significantly affected, or whose health is being damaged, by their alcohol and/or drug use.

💜 It enables people to address their dependence on alcohol or any type of drug.

💜 It is equally effective for people who want to reduce their alcohol or drug use to less harmful levels, or those who need or want to stop their substance use completely.
