Josie joined Toby Foster yesterday at BBC Radio Sheffield to talk about a news article highlighting official figures that show one in seven people in England were prescribed antidepressants last year.

With South Yorkshire stated as having the highest number in the county, they discussed what these figures might mean and what the wider conversation ought to be. Plus what we have in Sheffield regarding the Sheffield Mental Health Guide, and much more.

It's a really good interview so grab a cuppa and have a listen from 3:14:24 after Don't Go by Yazoo.

Here's the link -

The day's local and national news, as well as great music and quizzes with Toby.

🎨 Things That Make Me Smile: Honouring Our Communities

Yesterday, Sara from Sheffield Flourish and Soo Boswell from joined participants at SACHMA’s art group for a creative workshop exploring community, connection and the things that make us smile.

With our annual art exhibition, Things That Make Me Smile, taking place throughout October at The Workstation, we wanted to bring together the exhibition theme with this year’s Black History Month theme of Honouring Our Communities.

We explored what community means to each of us. It might be family, friends, neighbours, a group we belong to, somewhere we feel accepted, or simply the people and connections that remind us we’re not alone.

Our creative inspiration came from Alma Thomas, an American artist who became widely celebrated later in her life. Thomas is known for her vibrant abstract paintings, inspired by nature, colour, music and the joy she found in the world around her.

Most importantly, the session was about creating together rather than creating perfectly. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who took part.

🎨 Art submissions are still open!
