We exist to champion and support Autistic Children and Young People and to help Families with Autistic Children meet the challenges they face.

So they feel less isolated, less frightened and more empowered Started as a volunteer group by parents of autistic children in 2014, Sparkle Sheffield exists to help families with autistic children meet the challenges they face, feel less isolated, less frightened and more empowered. Autism affects families in different ways but only the parent of an autistic child can truly understand what life is like for us. Our aim is to ensure children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition can flourish by providing support to families and by raising awareness.

Past, present and future came together in Wapping 💛

Year 5 and 6 pupils from Hermitage Primary School recently joined us and Galliford Try to bury a time capsule beneath our new Big Yellow store development.

Inside? A snapshot of life in 2026, featuring everything from a newspaper and friendship bracelets to slime.

The pupils then toured the new store and explored archaeological artefacts discovered on site, including pottery, tiles and historic to***co pipes.

Thank you to everyone who helped create such a memorable day, giving local children a chance to learn about their area’s history and see a major construction project up close.

Autism Union is bringing back Autism Unspoken: The Conversations We Avoid, a free online conference exploring the topics too often left unsaid, preventing exploitation, gambling, and private 1:1 support, so we can build safer, more open conversations around autism.
