Some of our volunteers have been busy today handing out food and drinks to some of those most in need in the city centre.

35 meals handed out in total!

Massive thanks to Phil, Aimee, Alyson, Brendan, Gemma and Kelly for taking the time to support our Easter Walk and Talk this afternoon.

🐣 The Sunday Centre trustees would like to wish a very Happy Easter to all our dedicated volunteers, our guests, and the wider community. We are so grateful for the ongoing support that allows us to serve our city.

⚠️ Important Service Update:
Please note that on Easter Sunday (5th April), The Sunday Centre will be closed. There will be no service running this week.

We hope everyone has a restful and peaceful break. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Huge thank you to Jane Tomlinson's Run For All for donating boxes and bags full of clothing to us to distribute to our guests.

They will go to those most in need of extra layers and fresh clothes to keep them warm during the very indiscriminate and interchangeable English weather!

Thank you to those volunteers who arrived early today to help to collect all the donations and transport them to the project.

Today The Sunday Centre celebrates 35 years of supporting people who are homeless and vulnerable in Sheffield city centre.

Since 1991, our mission has been simple but powerful: to offer a warm meal, a safe space and genuine community to anyone who needs it on a Sunday. Week after week our volunteers, trustees and supporters make that possible through their kindness, commitment and belief in treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Our trustees are incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful organisation and grateful to everyone who has played a part in our journey so far.

Here’s to 35 years of community, compassion and hope - and continuing this work together for as long as we are needed.

It was with sadness that we heard that Beryl Gillet had passed away in January this year. Beryl was The Sunday Centre's volunteer co-ordinator during the 2000's. All the trustees would like to send our prayers, commiserations, and comfort to her friends and family.
