Family Voice works with families in Sharrow, Lowfield and Nether Edge to respond to whatever families need. This could be emotional support, learning English, help at home, improving health, family activities or educational support for parents or children - whatever families needs at the time.

In the English for Volunteering lesson this week, all the learners listed their strengths and skills. It was inspiring to see how each individual brought unique talents and abilities to the lesson.

From excellent listening skills to financial management, everyone contributed something valuable. They recognised the difference between soft and hard skills. We discussed various volunteer opportunities and ways to use our skills to make a positive impact in our communities.

A group of women from Family Voice were invited to enjoy a morning of Community Theatre. Experiencing four workshops on dance, drumming, creative writing and art.
Each workshop offered a unique getaway of expression and connection, allowing them to explore expression through movement and creativity, share new experiences, and connect with others.

Ammi's Kitchen Sheffield was represented in the collaborative poem created on the day.

Bringing Democracy to Nether Edge
Join us as we explore how Nether Edge can become a vibrant democracy, empowering everyone to take part in decision-making and nurturing our collective strength for the benefit of all, including our neighbouring communities and the wider Sheffield area.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Family Voice's 10th Birthday!

We had a great day; it was wonderful to hear from all the speakers who shared their stories from over the years and see so many familiar faces. We had a great time and hope you did too.

Thank you for all your support; we wouldn't have been able to reach 10 years without such a fantastic community supporting us. It is such an important time to stay connected and engaged; we want to build on this success and continue to make an even stronger community working together with one another.

We can't wait for you all to join us on this journey.
