Seaside adventures in Cleethorpes!

Some of our young people at RUSH had an amazing day enjoying the sunshine, sand, and sea. From riding the train and walking along the beautiful promenade to tucking into tasty fish and chips and cooling down with ice cream, it was a day packed with laughter and fun!

On 20th September 2026, local runners will be taking on the Rotherham 10K, and we're looking for supporters who would like to raise funds for Rush House Ltd.

Fresh air, beautiful scenery, and great company can do wonders for our mental health and wellbeing.

Our young people at RUSH recently enjoyed an amazing day out with Endeavour Youth and Community, exploring the stunning landscapes of Miller's Dale in the Peak District. From riverside walks and historic tunnels to breathtaking views, the day provided an opportunity to connect with nature, stay active, and take time away from everyday pressures.

Spending time outdoors helps boost wellbeing, build confidence, and create positive experiences, and this trip was a perfect example of the benefits that nature can bring.

A huge thank you to Endeavour Youth and Community and Smiles4Miles for supporting our young people on this memorable adventure.

Adventure, courage and achievement at Millers Dale!

Our young clients had a fantastic activity day abseiling from Millers Dale Bridge with Endeavour Outdoor Activity.

They embraced new challenges, faced their fears and encouraged one another every step of the way. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow and the pride they felt after completing the descent.

A brilliant day filled with courage, teamwork and a real sense of accomplishment. Well done to everyone who took part and a special thank you to Endeavour Youth and Community outdoor activity for hosting and Smiles4Miles.

One of our residents has recently shared some pictures of the items that they have purchased with funds provided by Centrepoint and Nationwide UK's More Than Just a Roof Grant.

We’re thrilled that we’ve received grant funding from Centrepoint and Nationwide Building Society through Round 2 of More Than a Roof: Personalisation Grant Programme! This will help the young people we support to create comfortable, welcoming spaces in their rooms, making them feel more at home as they work towards a brighter future.

Thanks to the generous grant of £6000, 32 of our young people have been able to select and purchase soft furnishings of their own to enhance their living spaces.

We believe every young person deserves a safe, welcoming environment where they can relax, connect, and thrive.

We are running a fundraising campaign to raise £1,500 to transform a plain concrete area into a beautiful garden space for the care- experienced young people we support.

We want to replace cold concrete with vibrant flowers, comfortable seating, greenery, and a peaceful outdoor area where young people can unwind, socialize, learn new skills, and enjoy nature.

Many of the young people we support have faced significant challenges in their lives. Having access to a calming outdoor environment can make a real difference to their mental health, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

Decking area
Outdoor seating
Decorative features to create a welcoming environment

Have you tasked your teens with sorting through their wardrobes before they go back to school or college next week?
If so, could you donate the clothes they no longer wear to us?

We are running low on suitable casual clothing for older children and teenagers.
Basic, comfortable items like leggings, joggers, hoodies and sweatshirts for both boys and girls are always in demand.
But to keep up with requests, we are having to buy these items from high street shops.

A reminder that donated clothing goes back into the community and will be given out to children and young people facing financial hardship.
A pre-loved hoodie or pair of trackies could provide them so much comfort this autumn knowing that someone cares.

If you have items to donate, they can be dropped off at our Parkgate unit on Monday or Friday mornings 9am-12pm. For details of how to find us, please drop us a message.
