Did you know the NHS recommends tummy time as an important part of your babyβs development?
Spending short, supervised time on their tummy helps your baby to:
β¨ Build the muscles they need for sitting and crawling
β¨ Strengthen their neck, shoulders and back
β¨ Explore how they can move their head, arms and legs
It doesnβt have to be long β just a few minutes at a time throughout the day soon adds up!

- Start from birth with baby lying on your chest
- Keep it short and fun β little and often works best
- Get down on their level, chat, sing or use toys to engage them
- Always supervise and only do tummy time when baby is awake
