From our "perspextive", this is an opportunity not only to support Reading Youth Orchestra in protecting players' hearing, but to highlight - *transparently* - our thanks to Big Yellow Self Storage for generously supporting us with somewhere to keep our acoustic screens. 🤩

Now that we're so big with such a wide range of instruments, we need hearing protection! Thank you for loaning us your sound screens to protect our ears from the piercing (but perfect) piccolos!

Ah, Easter Monday Bank Holiday! The perfect day for doing all those jobs you've been putting off for months - like taking the music from the last concert back to the APO storage unit that we have access to thanks to our friends at Big Yellow Self Storage.

After a quiet couple of months, we're gearing up for string and wind workshops, this coming Sunday, as well as events with a distinctly Spanish 🇪🇸 flavour at Reading station and All Saints Wokingham, in July.¡Arriba!

APO members are waking up with a spring in their step, this morning, after a joyous evening at All Saints Wokingham. Assistant MD, Mel, stepped out to cheers from the capacity audience and directed the orchestra in a fantastic performance of a beautiful and dynamic programme. We're so lucky to have her and are looking forward to the next time she takes to the podium. 😍

Orchestra swap! With assistant MD Mel conducting our concert, on Saturday evening, she obviously needed to be at Friday's rehearsal. But what to do with her young charges in Reading Youth Orchestra who rehearse at the same time? Simple: APO MD and RYO alumnus, Andrew, was delighted to have the honour of directing the RYO rehearsal. Good times had by all!
