Today’s Friday Feature is Misty who is a cute, gentle cat who loves to sit on or close to you.

He is very friendly, good with visitors and curious about whatever you are doing. He loves to be stroked, happily purring and rolling over to have his belly gently rubbed.

He is playful and particularly enjoys chasing and catching his fishing rod.

He likes to sleep in a warm spot, preferably next to a human being and is quite a talkative cat who will let you know what he wants, including when he thinks it is time for his food.

Misty would make an ideal companion for someone wanting an affectionate and inquisitive cat.

Misty has been checked by a vet and is in good health.

If Misty could be just what you're looking for please register online and call us on 01189 722082

FOUR CATS. FOUR STORIES. FOUR LONG WAITS FOR A PLACE TO CALL HOME.

These four lovely cats have made friends in their foster home and all get along well together, meaning they could be rehomed in any combination. Whether you’re hoping to adopt a pair, have a multi-cat household with room for one more, or perhaps even have space for more than one, we’d love you to consider them.

All four have had difficult starts in life. They have known the kindness of humans who have fed them and gently stroked them, but being picked up and handled is something they haven’t been accustomed to. Since coming into foster care, they have all made wonderful progress, and it’s been rewarding to see their confidence grow.

They will need understanding, patient owners who are happy to give them the time and space they need to settle into a new home at their own pace. In return, there is something truly special about watching a once-wary cat begin to trust, relax and show more of their individual personality. Those little steps forward can mean the world.

The sad thing is that these four have been in foster care for far too long. They deserve the chance to move on to loving homes of their own, where they can continue their journeys and build a happy future.

Could you offer one of them - or perhaps two the understanding home they need?

Please call us on 01189 722082 if you think you could help.

Our registration form link is in the comments below

Even if you can’t adopt, please share this post. Their forever homes may be waiting just around the corner, and your share could be what helps them find each other.

Please vote for Thames Valley Animal Welfare!

Our friends at Mulberry House Vets have nominated TVAW as one of the three charities that are up for voting in October 2026 for maxxipaws Charity of the Month!

maxxipaws strive to support as many charities as they can on a regular basis and they run a ‘Charity of the Month’ through their maxxiclub, where club members can nominate their charity of choice.

maxxiclub members and the relevant charity supporters can then vote for the charity they wish to receive their monthly donation of $300.

As mentioned we have been nominated as one of the three charities up for voting this month, and would love you all to vote for us using this link https://maxxipaws.com/maxxiclub-charity-vote/

Please share and get as many of your friends and family voting for us!

Thanks very much!

Today’s Friday feature is Pixie who is a petite black and white girl who has come a long way from the scared and very shy girl she was when she first arrived in foster care.

She is very chatty and affectionate now. She has a super silky fur and loves a head rub.

Pixie will need a patient new home as she will take time to come out of her shell. She has lived with other cats before and may be happy to do so again. It will take some time to win her trust but it will be worth it!!

If Pixie could be just what you're looking for please register online and call us on 01189 722082
