September was a busy month for our Youth Ambassadors 💜

From racing on the Thames in their first ever Dragon Boat Race and championing young peoples voices at Party Conferences, to meeting inspirational speaker Ed Jackson and attending a Royal visit with HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, our Youth Ambassadors have already been making a real impact!

Along the way, they've been championing youth voice, developing new skills and sharing their stories 📢

Meet Dylan 👋

Dylan planned to leave school as soon as possible – that's before he started his Bronze DofE.

“It got me motivated, and I went on to finish my exams. The only reason I stayed on at school was for the DofE.”

Today he’s completing an apprenticeship as a Valve Technician and credits DofE with helping him believe in himself 💜

Doing his DofE changed Dylan’s story, but right now, too many young people face financial barriers that put opportunities like the DofE out of reach.

Over the last month we've been at Party Conferences across the UK, championing the impact enrichment has on young people's lives and making sure young people's voices are heard 📢

This year, our events have celebrated 70 years of DofE, the first anniversary of the Enrichment for All Coalition, and how we can work with political parties to prepare young people with the skills they need for life and work through unlocking the power of enrichment.

Our DofE Youth Ambassadors have been going up and down the country speaking directly with MPs about issues that matter most to young people, including calling for 80 hours of enrichment per secondary school student per year 👇

We're calling for solutions that help young people build the confidence, resilience and skills they need to be
