Refreshed wonder wall Spiffing original copies of Heroes, Out Of The Blue. Beggars Banquet and Nevermind The Bo****ks with all attendant fripperies. Star of the show is a 1968 UK edition of The Velvet Underground's second (and noisiest) album White Light White Heat. A rare one. I've never seen one previously. With laminated flipback sleeve, a matter of which either you know and care about deeply or are mystified by.

What's your favourite Christmas film? Just for fun on Sunday we polled Christmas shoppers at Oxfam Music. The winner was... Home Alone! Followed by Its A Wonderful Life, A Muppet's Christmas Carol, Die Hard and Love Actually making up the top 5.

Notable mentions for Gremlins (YES!), various iterations of A Christmas Carol (the Alastair Sim classic ,Scrooged, the Patrick Stewart version), Elf, The Snowman, Holiday Inn, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Trading Places, The Polar Express, Nativity, Klaus, Trading Places....

Controversies included whether Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas film or a Halloween film? (both?). Planes, Trains and Automobiles, contrary to memory, is NOT a Christmas film. It's set at Thanksgiving.
